BAKHUISJE
Inleiding
Het BAKHUISJE dateert uit vermoedelijk ca. 1850 en is voor een bakhuisje rijk en zorgvuldig uitgevoerd.
Het links van de voorgevel van de boerderij gesitueerde vrijstaande bakhuisje is met de voorgevel evenwijdig aan de voorgevel van het woonhuis gelegen maar ten opzichte hiervan een halve slag gedraaid. Aan de rechterzijde is een houten aanbouw (garage) aangebouwd die niet onder de bescherming valt. Het bakhuis bezit een rechthoekige plattegrond met aan een der korte zijde een bijna vierkante smallere projectie. Sinds 1950 is het bakhuisje buiten gebruik. Het bakhuisje bezit een bouwlaag en wordt door een zadeldak met verbeterde Hollandse pan gedekt. In het rechter dakschild komt een schoorsteen voor. De gevels zijn in baksteen (kruisverband) opgetrokken en worden door een cordonlijst in tweeën gedeeld waardoor de suggestie van twee bouwlagen ontstaat. De gezaagde dakranden en de windveer aan de voorzijde zijn vermoedelijk als eenvoudigere vorm afgeleid van de oorspronkelijke versiering. Alleen de windveer aan de voorzijde wordt door een makelaar bekroond.
De VOORGEVEL bezit in het midden een opgeklampte deur met kraalprofiel delen op hardstenen dorpel. De deuropening wordt door een rollaag afgesloten. Boven de cordonlijst is een venster geplaatst met drie gekoppelde ramen waarvan het middelste bestaat uit een zesruits raam dat door een keper wordt afgesloten. Ter weerszijden is een tweeruits kleiner raampje aangebracht. Alleen de keperboog bezit een rollaag. De LINKER ZIJGEVEL wordt door twee meerruits draairamen bepaald die zijn voorzien van luiken en rusten op een houten lekdorpel. Boven de cordonlijst bevinden zich twee drieruits klapraampjes met een onderdorpel van keramiek tegels. De vensters worden door een rollaag afgesloten. De ACHTERGEVEL is blind uitgevoerd evenals de zich hier bevindende lagere uitbouw. De RECHTER ZIJGEVEL wordt door de aanbouw van een houten garage aan het zicht onttrokken. In het INTERIEUR bevindt zich een brede oven met dubbele ijzeren deuren. Er onder bevindt zich de asruimte. Links van de oven bevindt zich een openhaard. Het betreft hier een unieke aanleg.
Waardering
Het BAKHUISJE dateert uit ca. 1850.
- Van architectuurhistorische waarde vanwege de esthetische kwaliteiten van de hoofdvorm en de voor een bakhuisje ongewoon rijke uitvoering. In aanleg is het bakhuisje in gave toestand bewaard. Bijzonder is de plaatsing van een oven en haard in het interieur naast elkaar hetgeen voor Nederland uniek is.
- Van stedenbouwkundige waarde vanwege de relatie met de boerderij en de ligging in het landschap.
- Van cultuurhistorische waarde vanwege de oorsprong van de boerderij Wilbrinkshof in het buurtschap Wals, die tot in de 15de eeuw teruggaat.

BAKE HOUSE
Introduction
The BAKE HOUSE dates from presumably circa 1850 and is executed rich and carefully for a bake house.
The free-standing bake house situated to the left of the front elevation of the farmhouse is positioned with its front elevation parallel to the front elevation of the dwelling house but rotated half a turn in relation to it. On the right side a wooden outbuilding (garage) has been added which does not fall under the protection. The bake house has a rectangular ground plan with on one of the short sides an almost square narrower projection. Since 1950 the bake house has been out of use. The bake house has one storey and is covered by a gabled roof with improved Dutch tile. A chimney appears in the right roof slope. The elevations are built in brick (cross bond) and are divided in two by a string course, which creates the suggestion of two storeys. The sawn roof edges and the bargeboard on the front are presumably derived as a simpler form of the original decoration. Only the bargeboard on the front is crowned by a slate piece.
The FRONT ELEVATION has in the centre an applied door with moulded bead-profile parts on a hard stone threshold. The door opening is closed by a roll moulding. Above the string course a window is placed with three coupled windows, of which the middle one consists of a six-pane window which is closed by a diagonal moulding. On either side a smaller two-pane window is provided. Only the diagonal moulding arch has a roll moulding. The LEFT SIDE ELEVATION is determined by two multi-pane casement windows which are provided with shutters and rest on a wooden sill. Above the string course there are two three-pane casement windows with an undershelf of ceramic tiles. The windows are closed by a roll moulding. The REAR ELEVATION is executed blind as well as the lower outbuilding situated here. The RIGHT SIDE ELEVATION is obscured by the addition of a wooden garage. In the INTERIOR there is a wide oven with double iron doors. Below it is the ash chamber. To the left of the oven is a fireplace. This is a unique arrangement.
Valuation
The BAKE HOUSE dates from circa 1850.
- Of architectural-historical value because of the aesthetic qualities of the principal form and the unusually rich execution for a bake house. In its arrangement the bake house is preserved in sound condition. Particularly noteworthy is the placement of an oven and hearth in the interior next to each other, which is unique for the Netherlands.
- Of urban-planning value because of the relationship with the farmhouse and the location in the landscape.
- Of cultural-historical value because of the origin of the farmhouse Wilbrinkshof in the hamlet Wals, which dates back to the 15th century.
