Omschrijving
De Amerikaanse eik ten tijde van de aanleg door de heer Van den Ham geschonken aan notaris R. Dinger werd overgebracht naar de viersprong in het Luntersche Buurtbosch. De boom werd geplant als GEDENKBOOM omsloten door een HEK waaraan vier BANKEN zijn verbonden. Het groen geschilderde smeedijzeren hekwerk is evenals de uitzichttoren achthoekig, bestaande uit vier lange rechte zijden en vier tussenliggende korte, schuine zijden. De vier banken met smeedijzeren constructie en houten zitgedeelte bevinden zich steeds aan een rechte zijde. In de opengewerkte smeedijzeren leuningen zijn Amerikaanse eikenbladeren en eikels verwerkt. Het hekwerk is opgebouwd uit een hoog, een smal, een hoog en een smal deel. In de eerste smalle band bevindt zich tussen de banken de tekst `ANNO 1914' in geel geschilderde smeedijzeren letters en cijfers. Description
The American oak given at the time of the development by Mr Van den Ham to notary R. Dinger was transferred to the crossroads in the Luntersche Buurtbosch. The tree was planted as a MEMORIAL TREE enclosed by a FENCE to which four BENCHES are attached. The green-painted wrought-iron fencing is, like the viewing tower, octagonal, consisting of four long straight sides and four intermediate short, slanting sides. The four benches with wrought-iron construction and wooden seating are located respectively on a straight side. In the openwork wrought-iron railings are incorporated American oak leaves and acorns. The fencing is built up of a high, a narrow, a high and a narrow section. In the first narrow band is the text 'ANNO 1914' in yellow-painted wrought-iron letters and numerals between the benches.
