Omschrijving
De blokvormige SCHOOL is opgetrokken op een rechthoekige plattegrond, telt twee bouwlagen en wordt afgesloten door een plat dak waaruit een gemetselde schoorsteen steekt. De gevels bezitten een gepleisterde plint en zijn opgetrokken in twee tinten rode baksteen, met witte voegen en in kruisverband gemetseld. De gevels karakteriseren zich voorts door de toepassing van pleisterwerk en siermetselwerk in gele verblendsteen, onder andere in de vorm van speklagen en als vensteromlijsting. In de gevels bevinden zich hoge stolpvensters en schuifvensters die allen nog de oorspronkelijke in Art Nouveau-trant gebogen roedenverdeling bezitten. De kozijnen zijn zwart geverfd. De symmetrisch ingedeelde drie vensterassen brede VOORGEVEL aan de Spoorstraat bezit in de eerste bouwlaag een breed driedelig venster met gesneden stijlen, aan de onderzijde voorzien van een waterdorpel. Onder het venster is over de hele breedte van de gevel een afzaat gemetseld. Het venster wordt aan de bovenzijde afgesloten door een ijzeren latei met versierde klinknagels tussen gepleisterde oren.Tussen de twee bouwlagen bevindt zich een gepleisterd, trapeziumvormig veld dat wordt omgeven door een in profielbaksteen gemetselde rand. In het pleisterwerk zijn in de uiteinden Jugendstilornamenten aangebracht, waartussen oorspronkelijk vermoedelijk een tekst was aangebracht. Direct hierboven bevinden zich in de tweede bouwlaag twee vensters onder in gele baksteen gemetselde segmentbogen. Deze bogen zijn voorzien van gepleisterde boogstenen en langs de vensters loopt pleisterwerk tot de wisseldorpels. In de gepleisterde boogvulling zijn florale motieven aangebracht. De gevel wordt afgesloten door een daklijst tussen geprofileerde, gepleisterde hoekstukken die op uitkragende, in siermetselwerk uitgevoerde hoeklisenen rusten. De hoeklisenen bezitten gepleisterde consoles. De RECHTER ZIJGEVEL is drie vensterassen breed. De in de gevel terugliggende entree bevindt zich geheel rechts. De portiekopening wordt afgesloten door een in gele en witte verblendsteen gemetselde segmentvormige boog met gepleisterde boogstenen en gepleisterde boogvulling voorzien van een floraal Art Nouveau-motief. Links hiervan bevinden zich twee vensters onder een in siermetselwerk aangebrachte hoefijzerboog met gepleisterde geboorte- en sluitstenen en een gepleisterd boogveld met floraal Art Nouveau-motief. In de bouwlaag hierboven bevinden zich twee hieraan identieke vensters en geheel rechts, in de as boven de entree is een rond venster aangebracht, eveneens met siermetselwerk omgeven. Onder dit venster bevindt zich een tweede, nu kleiner rond venster. De zijgevel wordt afgesloten door een eenvoudige witgeschilderde houten daklijst. Tegen de ACHTERGEVEL is een recentelijk opnieuw opgemetselde eenlaags aanbouw geplaatst waarin zich privaten bevonden. Het INTERIEUR bestaat uit twee klaslokalen boven elkaar en een bouwdeel waarin zich de houten bordestrap en het entreeportaal bevindt. In het lokaal op de begane grond bevindt zich een schoolbord en een eenvoudig stucplafond, in het lokaal erboven een schouw.

The block-shaped SCHOOL is constructed on a rectangular floor plan, comprises two storeys and is topped by a flat roof from which a brick chimney projects. The facades have a plastered plinth and are constructed in two shades of red brick, with white joints and laid in a Flemish bond. The facades are further characterised by the use of plasterwork and ornamental brickwork in yellow facing brick, among other things in the form of brick courses and as window surrounds. The facades contain tall sash windows and sash windows which all retain the original Art Nouveau-style curved glazing bars. The frames are painted black. The symmetrically arranged three-window-axis wide FRONT FACADE on Spoorstraat has in the first storey a broad three-part window with cut mullions, provided on the underside with a water drip. Below the window a setback is laid in brick across the entire width of the facade. The window is closed off at the top by an iron lintel with decorated rivets between plastered ears. Between the two storeys is a plastered, trapezoidal panel which is surrounded by a border laid in profiled brick. The porch opening is closed off by a segmental arch laid in yellow and white facing brick with plastered voussoirs and plastered spandrel decorated with a floral Art Nouveau motif. To the left of this are two windows beneath a horseshoe arch executed in ornamental brickwork with plastered springing and relieving stones and a plastered spandrel with floral Art Nouveau motif. In the storey above are two windows identical to these and at the far right, aligned above the entrance, is a round window, also surrounded with ornamental brickwork. Below this window is a second, now smaller round window. The side facade is finished with a simple white-painted wooden cornice.
