Omschrijving
De SCHUUR uit ca. 1900, gelegen op het achtererf van boerderij "Steurenburg", heeft een rechthoekig grondplan, houten wanden op een gemetselde plint en een zadeldak met de nok loodrecht op de straat. Het dak is gedekt met gesmoorde oud-Hollandse pannen en watert af zonder goten. In het dakschild aan de zuidzijde zijn met rode pannen de initialen "J C C" en "A W O" aangegeven. De gemetselde plint is voorzien van enkele kleine steunberen. Op de plint zijn wandstijlen geplaatst met aan de buitenzijde een horizontaal beschot van gerabatte delen met messing en groef. Aan de zuidzijde kan een plank met scharnieren worden opengezet. De korte gevel aan de straatzijde heeft een opgeklampte dubbele deur en een zolderluik. De inwendige draagconstructie bestaat uit zes ankerbalkgebinten waarop schaarspanten. De pennen van de balken steken door de buitenwanden heen.

SCHUUR uit ca. 1900.
- Van architectuur- en cultuurhistorische waarde als typologisch goed voorbeeld van een in deze regio meer voorkomende houten schuur (oorspronkelijk in gebruik als potstal voor jongvee?) met door de zijwanden verankerde gebinten. De schuur is gaaf bewaard gebleven qua hoofdvorm, gevelindeling en materiaalgebruik.
- Van stedenbouwkundige waarde als essentieel onderdeel van de langgerekte stedenbouwkundige structuur en het bebouwingspatroon aan twee evenwijdige straten in de agrarische dorpskern Zoelen. De schuur vormt met de overige onderdelen van boerderij "Steurenburg" een waardevol historisch gegroeid ensemble en is markant gesitueerd op de grens van het beschermde dorpsgezicht 'Huis Zoelen' en de dorpskern.

Description
The BARN from c. 1900, located on the rear plot of farmstead "Steurenburg", has a rectangular ground plan, wooden walls on a brick plinth and a gabled roof with the ridge perpendicular to the street. The roof is covered with laid old-Dutch tiles and drains without gutters. In the roof slope on the south side the initials "J C C" and "A W O" are indicated with red tiles. The brick plinth is provided with a few small buttresses. On the plinth are wall posts placed with on the outside a horizontal boarding of rebated boards with tongue and groove. On the south side a plank with hinges can be opened. The short gable at the street side has a set double door and a hayloft door. The internal load-bearing structure consists of six tie-beam frames on which scissor trusses. The ends of the beams penetrate through the external walls.
Valuation
BARN from c. 1900.
- Of architectural- and cultural-historical value as a typologically good example of a wooden barn more commonly found in this region (originally in use as a cattle shed for young stock?) with frames anchored through the side walls. The barn has been well preserved as regards main form, facade arrangement and material use.
- Of urban-planning value as an essential component of the elongated urban-planning structure and the building pattern on two parallel streets in the agricultural village centre Zoelen. The barn forms with the remaining components of farmstead "Steurenburg" a valuable historically developed ensemble and is markedly situated on the boundary of the protected village prospect 'Huis Zoelen' and the village centre.
