Inleiding
Aan De Tuut gelegen bakstenen DIJKMAGAZIJN onder pannen zadeldak uit het vierde kwart van de 19de eeuw. De situering is onaangetast. Het magazijn ligt aan de binnenzijde van de dijk op rijbaanhoogte. Een identiek dijkmagazijn staat aan de Bovendijk te Maasbommel.
Omschrijving
Het gebouw is opgetrokken in baksteen op een rechthoekig grondplan. Het telt twee bouwlagen onder een met grijze oudhollandse pannen gedekt zadeldak waarvan de nok evenwijdig aan de weg loopt. Licht overstek aan iedere zijde, met windveren aan de kopgevels en houten daklijst met vogelschroot langs de zijgevels. Het metselwerk is uitgevoerd in kruisverband en platvol gevoegd. Rondom loopt een gepleisterde plint. Hardstenen dorpels onder de laaddeuren. De KOPGEVELS zijn identiek met centraal in beide bouwlagen een dubbele laaddeur; de onderste is opgeklampt en segmentbogig getoogd; de bovenste is spitsbogig van vorm en voorzien van Louvre-luiken. Aan weerszijden van de deuren een smal staand rechthoekig spaarveld. In de geveltop een dergelijk veld in gedrukte spitsboogvorm. De ZIJGEVELS worden geleed door een vijftal spaarvelden in beide bouwlagen waarin smalle ventilatiespleten met gecementeerde omlijsting zijn opgenomen.

Description
The building is constructed in brick on a rectangular ground plan. It comprises two storeys under a gabled roof covered with grey oudhollandse tiles, the ridge running parallel to the road. Slight overhang on each side, with wind braces on the end gables and wooden cornice with bird's beak moulding along the side gables. The brickwork is executed in Flemish bond and flush jointed. A plastered plinth runs around the entire building. Hardstone thresholds under the loading doors. The END GABLES are identical with centrally placed double loading doors in both storeys; the lower is clamped and segmental arched; the upper is pointed arch form and fitted with louvre shutters. On either side of the doors a narrow upright rectangular spandrel. In the gable top a similar spandrel in depressed pointed arch form. The SIDE GABLES are articulated by five spandrels in both storeys, with narrow ventilation slots with cemented surround incorporated.
