HISTORISCHE TUIN- EN PARKAANLEG behorende tot de buitenplaats Overvoorde. De aanleg van Overvoorde kenmerkt zich door de in landschapsstijl vergraven vijverpartij, de slingerende lanen en wisselende zichten. Zeer vermoedelijk is de aanleg onder het beheer van Johan Willem van Vredenburch in 1833-1834 gerealiseerd, zoals de litho van Lutgers uit het midden van de 19de eeuw laat zien (de kadastrale minuut van 1812 toont nog een formele aanleg). In 1778 werd aan Overvoorde het aangrenzende buiten Outshoorn toegevoegd, waardoor het perceel werd verdubbeld. Samen met het aan de overzijde van de Van Vredenburchweg liggende huis Steenvoorde (1802) en het eveneens aan de overzijde gesitueerde huis Voorde (1800) vormde Overvoorde één bezit. Het park in landschapsstijl met grote waterpartij, deels om het huis heenlopend, heeft een formele ondergrond. Verschillende elementen die op de kaart van Cruquius uit 1712 staan getekend zijn thans nog herkenbaar, zoals de aan de westzijde gelegen toegangslaan tot het herenhuis, de open ruimte (weide) voor het huis, de later in landschappelijke vormen vergraven en de rechthoekige omgrachting rondom de huisplaats met aan de noord- (zuid) en oostzijde daarvan rechthoekige percelen. Hoewel deze percelen in de landschappelijke aanleg zijn opgenomen is de aswerking (zuidoost-noordwest) met het huis als kernpunt nog aanwezig. HISTORIC GARDEN AND PARK LAYOUT belonging to the country estate Overvoorde. The layout of Overvoorde is characterised by the pond area excavated in landscape style, the winding avenues and changing vistas. It is highly probable that the layout was realised under the management of Johan Willem van Vredenburch in 1833-1834, as shown by the lithograph by Lutgers from the mid-19th century (the cadastral plan of 1812 still shows a formal layout). In 1778 the neighbouring country house Outshoorn was added to Overvoorde, thereby doubling the plot. Together with the house Steenvoorde (1802) and the house Voorde (1800), both located on the opposite side of the Van Vredenburchweg, Overvoorde formed one property. The layout of these country estates is connected by sight lines: from the house Overvoorde a vista runs over the meadows towards De Voorde; from the park a vista is preserved towards the main building Steenvoorde (demolished), see Topographic Military Map 1874-1913. The park in landscape style with large water feature, partly running around the house, has a formal underlying structure. Various elements drawn on Cruquius's map of 1712 are still recognisable today, such as the access avenue to the manor house located on the west side, the open space (meadow) in front of the house, later excavated in landscape forms and the rectangular moat surrounding the house plot with rectangular plots on the north (south) and east sides.
