Inleiding
VILLA 'Huize Peerlkamp' met bijbehorende ERFSCHEIDING, gebouwd in 1907 naar ontwerp van de architect J.R. de Jong in chaletstijl met Art Nouveau-invloed. De villa ligt aan de rand van het villapark De Boomberg, ten westen van het centrum van Hilversum, in een tuin op de hoek van de Peerlkamplaan en de P.C. Hooftweg. De erfscheiding bevindt zich langs deze straten.
N.B. De keukenaanbouw uit 1990 aan de achtergevel is voor de bescherming van ondergeschikt belang.
Omschrijving
Villa van twee bouwlagen en kapverdieping op nagenoeg vierkante plattegrond onder een samengesteld schild-zadeldak, gedekt met rode tuiles du Nordpannen en op de nok zinken pironnen. Het overstekende dak wordt ondersteund door klampen. De gevels zijn boven een plint van grauwe baksteen witgepleisterd. In het pleisterwerk zijn boven de gevelopeningen de strekken en ontlastingsbogen in rode baksteen uitgespaard. In de gevels vensters met schuif- en stolpramen en dubbele glasdeuren met luiken en in de bovenlichten een kleine roedenverdeling.
Aan de voorgevel (O) links een hoog opgaand risaliet met beschoten geveltop onder afgewolfde steekkap. In de linker afgesnoten hoek boven elkaar twee smalle vensters onder een kraagstuk. Op de begane grond in de risaliet een dubbele glasdeur onder getoogd bovenlicht en op de verdieping een loggia onder rondboog met balustrade en dubbele glasdeur. Links van de loggia een klein smal venster. Rechts van de risaliet op de begane grond de oorspronkelijke paneeldeur met bovenlicht in portiek onder rondboog, en rechts een schuifvenster. Op de verdieping een breed houten balkon op schoren, waarop een dubbele glasdeur opent.
Aan de linker zijgevel (Z) een grote rechthoekige serre met dubbele glasdeur onder afgeknot schilddakje met rode pannen. Op het dak van de serre een balkon met houten balustrade onder verlengd dakschild, ondersteund door standvinken. Links van de serre een puntgevel met beschot onder overstekend zadeldak. Op de begane grond een dubbele glasdeur en op de verdieping een schuifvenster.
In de rechter zijgevel (N) links een venster op de begane grond en rechts een traplicht met kruiskozijn en gekleurde glas-in-loodramen op de verdieping.
De achtergevel (W) telt in het midden twee vensterassen met op de begane grond rechts een glasdeur en links de latere keukenaanbouw. Op de verdieping vensters met stolpraam en bovenlicht. In het dakschild bevindt zich een kleine dakkapel. In het interieur zijn onder meer stucplafonds en tegellambrizeringen met Art Nouveau-decoraties, paneeldeuren en het trappenhuis bewaard gebleven.
De erfscheiding bestaat uit een eenvoudig ijzeren spijlenhek met gietijzeren kolommetjes aan weerszijden van de toegangshekken.
Waardering
De vroeg twintigste-eeuwse villa "Huize Peerlkamp" met erfscheiding is van algemeen belang vanwege de architectuur- en cultuurhistorische waarde als representatief en nagenoeg gaaf voorbeeld van een villa opgetrokken in chaletstijl met Art Nouveau-elementen. De villa is als hoekpand beeldbepalend gesitueerd aan de rand van het villapark 'De Boomberg' en vormt een ensemble met het naastgelegen pand P.C. Hooftweg 3 in dezelfde bouwstijl.

VILLA 'Huize Peerlkamp' with adjoining BOUNDARY FENCE, built in 1907 after a design by architect J.R. de Jong in chalet style with Art Nouveau influence. The villa is situated at the edge of the villa park De Boomberg, west of the centre of Hilversum, in a garden at the corner of Peerlkamplaan and P.C. Hooftweg. The boundary fence is located along these streets.

Description
Villa of two storeys and attic storey on an almost square floor plan under a composite hipped-gabled roof, covered with red tuiles du Nord tiles and zinc finials on the ridge. The overhanging roof is supported by brackets. The facades above a plinth of grey brick are whitewashed. In the plasterwork above the facade openings the lintels and relieving arches in red brick are left exposed. In the facades windows with sash and case windows and double glass doors with shutters and in the fanlights a small glazing bar pattern.
At the front facade (E) on the left a high-rising risalit with boarded gable top under a curved collar tie roof. In the left cut-off corner two narrow windows one above the other under a corbel. On the ground floor in the risalit a double glass door under a segmental arch fanlight and on the upper storey a loggia under a round arch with balustrade and double glass door. To the left of the loggia a small narrow window. To the right of the risalit on the ground floor the original panel door with fanlight in a portico under a round arch, and to the right a sash window. On the upper storey a broad wooden balcony on consoles, onto which a double glass door opens.
At the left side facade (S) a large rectangular conservatory with double glass door under a truncated hipped roof with red tiles. On the roof of the conservatory a balcony with wooden balustrade under an extended roof shield, supported by struts. To the left of the conservatory a pointed gable with boarding under an overhanging gabled roof. On the ground floor a double glass door and on the upper storey a sash window.
In the right side facade (N) on the left a window on the ground floor and on the right a stairlight with cross window and coloured leadlight panes on the upper storey.
The rear facade (W) has in the middle two window axes with on the ground floor on the right a glass door and on the left the later kitchen extension. On the upper storey windows with case window and fanlight. In the roof shield there is a small roof dormer. In the interior stucco ceilings and tile wainscotting with Art Nouveau decorations, panel doors and the stairwell have been preserved among other things.
The boundary fence consists of a simple iron spear fence with cast iron columns on either side of the entrance gates.
Valuation
