Inleiding
GEDENKBANK ter nagedachtenis aan mevr. Eugenie van Moppes-Rose (1857-1932) uit omstreeks 1938, onderdeel van het complex Zonnestraal en gesitueerd nabij de nazorgwoningen Loosdrechtebos 29-31. Haar echtgenoot, de diamantair M.L. van Moppes, schonk het geld voor de bouw van de nazorgwoningen.
Omschrijving
De gedenkbank is een brede houten zitbank tegen een gemetseld muurtje met iets gebogen uiteinde waarop een gebogen betonnen plaat is aangebracht. Op de plaat is in brons een reliëfportret van mevrouw van Moppes aangebracht evenals een plaat met het opschrift: "Ter gedachtenis aan mevr. Eugenie van Moppes-Rose 24 mei 1857 2 februari 1932".

MEMORIAL BENCH in memory of Mrs. Eugenie van Moppes-Rose (1857-1932) from around 1938, part of the complex Zonnestraal and situated near the aftercare dwellings Loosdrechtebos 29-31. Her husband, the diamond merchant M.L. van Moppes, donated the money for the construction of the aftercare dwellings.
Description
The memorial bench is a wide wooden bench against a brick wall with slightly curved ends on which a curved concrete slab has been attached. On the slab there is a bronze relief portrait of Mrs. van Moppes as well as a plaque with the inscription: "In memory of Mrs. Eugenie van Moppes-Rose 24 May 1857 2 February 1932".
