Inleiding
WOONHUIS uit 1896 in de stijl van de Neo-Hollandse Renaissance. In 1909 is het pand rechtsachter, op het belendende perceel, uitgebreid met een nieuwe keuken en bergplaats.
NB In 1949 is ter plaatse van de tuin, rechts van het huis, een garage gebouwd.
Omschrijving
Het woonhuis heeft een rechthoekige plattegrond en is opgetrokken in rode baksteen. Het pand heeft een kelder, twee bouwlagen en een kaplaag onder een afgeknot schilddak bedekt met kruispannen. Links twee gemetselde schoorstenen. Rondom een geornamenteerde ijzeren dakbalustrade. Houten daklijst op consoles. Het woonhuis heeft rechthoekige schuifvensters met houten kozijnen.
De voorgevel (zuid) is gemetseld in rode strengperssteen en heeft een gestucte plint met twee ventilatieroosters. Gestucte deur- en raamomlijstingen met kroonlijsten op consoles met triglyfen. Over de gehele gevel gestucte speklagen die in de linkerzijgevel doorlopen.
De voorgevel heeft drie traveëen waarvan de rechter iets terugligt. Hier bevindt zich het entreeportiek bereikbaar via drie hardstenen treden. Het portiek heeft gestucte wanden met schijnvoegen en vloertegels met ingelegde decoraties die per vier één patroon vormen. Paneeldeur met twee ruitvormige vensters met frontons en een bovenlicht met diagonale roedenverdeling. Kalf met eierlijstje. De deuromlijsting wordt bekroond door een samenstel van twee pilasters en een fronton, waarin het jaartal 1896 in beslagwerk.
De beide vensters op de begane grond hebben bovenlichten met glas-in-lood en worden bekroond door een rondboogvormig fronton. In de boogtrommels stucwerk met in reliëf neorenaissance motieven.
Op de verdieping vensters met glas-in-loodbovenlichten, geplaatst in gestucte raamomlijstingen met gekorniste kroonlijstjes. Hierboven een fries van met motieven beschilderde tegels en een houten daklijst die rust op consoles met triglyfen. Hierboven een attiek met op de hoeken pironnen doorbroken door een dakkapel met T-venster en glas-in-loodbovenlicht. De dakkapel heeft aan weerszijden gestucte pilasters waarop een rondboogvormig fronton rust met een Mercuriuskopje in de sluitsteen omrand met witte verblendsteen. De kapel wordt bekroond met een ijzeren piron. Rechts in de kap een dakhuisje met piron.
De linker zijgevel (west) heeft gestucte speklagen. De rechter zijgevel is blind.
De achtergevel (noord) grenst direct aan de Oude Maas. Op de begane grond een T-venster en een deur met zij- en bovenlichten, op de eerste verdieping een raam en een deur en op de tweede verdieping twee T-vensters.
Het interieur bevat ondermeer de volgende oorspronkelijke onderdelen; een tochtportaal en gang met marmeren vloeren en lambrizering van geperste tegels in Art Nouveaustijl. Geëtst glas in tochtdeur met de initialen F.V. en de signatuur van J. Broere uit Rotterdam. Volledig betegelde keuken uit 1906 met gesjabloneerde randen, ovenafvoer met schildpadtegels en ingebouwde kasten. Scheluwetrap met betegelde muur.
Waardering
Uit 1896 daterend woonhuis in Neo-Hollandse Renaissancestijl van algemeen belang uit cultuurhistorisch en architectuurhistorisch oogpunt, alsook van belang vanwege ensemblewaarde met de panden aan een van de voornaamste binnenhavens van Dordrecht.

Description
The dwelling house has a rectangular floor plan and is constructed in red brick. The building has a basement, two storeys and an attic room under a truncated hipped roof covered with crossed tiles. On the left two brick chimneys. All around an ornamental iron roof balustrade. Wooden cornice on consoles. The dwelling house has rectangular sash windows with wooden frames.
The front facade (south) is laid in red pressed-clay brick and has a stuccoed plinth with two ventilation grilles. Stuccoed door and window surrounds with cornices on consoles with triglyphs. Over the entire facade stuccoed rustication which continues in the left side facade.
The front facade has three bays of which the right one is set back slightly. Here is located the entrance portico accessible via three stone steps. The portico has stuccoed walls with false joints and floor tiles with inlaid decoration which form one pattern per four tiles. Panel door with two rhomboidal windows with pediments and a fanlight with diagonal glazing bars. Calf with egg moulding. The door surround is topped by an arrangement of two pilasters and a pediment, in which the date 1896 in applied ornament.
The two windows on the ground floor have fanlights with leaded glass and are topped by a round-arched pediment. In the arch soffits stuccowork with Neo-Renaissance motifs in relief.
On the first floor windows with leaded glass fanlights, placed in stuccoed window surrounds with corniced cornices. Above these a frieze of tiles decorated with motifs and a wooden cornice which rests on consoles with triglyphs. Above this an attic with piretons at the corners pierced by a roof dormer with T-shaped window and leaded glass fanlight. The dormer has stuccoed pilasters on either side on which a round-arched pediment rests with a Mercury head in the keystone surrounded with white facing brick. The dormer is topped with an iron pireton. To the right in the roof a small roof house with pireton.
The left side facade (west) has stuccoed rustication. The right side facade is blank.
The rear facade (north) borders directly on the Oude Maas. On the ground floor a T-shaped window and a door with side and fanlights, on the first floor a window and a door and on the second floor two T-shaped windows.
The interior contains amongst others the following original components; an entrance vestibule and hallway with marble floors and wainscoting of pressed tiles in Art Nouveau style. Etched glass in the vestibule door with the initials F.V. and the signature of J. Broere from Rotterdam. Fully tiled kitchen from 1906 with stencilled borders, oven flue with tortoiseshell tiles and built-in cupboards. Spiral staircase with tiled wall.
