Inleiding
TUINKOEPEL behorende bij het woonhuiscomplex Wolwevershaven 34. Het complex bestaat uit een woonhuis uit 1895-1896 in de stijl van de Neo-Hollandse Renaissance met in de achterliggende stadstuin een door middel van een galerij met het huis verbonden tuinkoepel in Eclectische stijl, en een waarschijnlijk oudere folly in een aan de Engelse Landschapsstijl verwante rustieke tijl.
Omschrijving
Vanaf de achtergevel van het woonhuis loopt langs de noord-oostelijke rand van de tuin een galerij van teakhout en glas naar een achtzijdige, witgeschilderde theekoepel die half over de rivier hangt. De onder een plat dak staande koepel heeft een achtzijdige plattegrond en witgeschilderde gevels met aan alle zijden vensters met houten kozijnen en met geprofileerde omlijstingen met kroonlijsten.
Waardering
De laat negentiende-eeuwse tuinkoepel met bijbehorende galerij is van algemeen belang vanwege de architectuurhistorische, de cultuurhistorische en de ensemblewaarde.

GARDEN PAVILION belonging to the residential complex Wolwevershaven 34. The complex consists of a residential house from 1895-1896 in the style of Neo-Dutch Renaissance with in the rear urban garden a garden pavilion connected to the house by means of a gallery in Eclectic style, and a probably older folly in a rustic style related to the English Landscape style.
Description
From the rear facade of the residential house a gallery of teak and glass runs along the north-eastern edge of the garden towards an octagonal, white-painted tea pavilion that hangs half over the river. The pavilion standing under a flat roof has an octagonal ground plan and white-painted facades with windows on all sides with wooden frames and with profiled surrounds with cornices.

The late nineteenth-century garden pavilion with its associated gallery is of general importance by virtue of its architectural-historical, cultural-historical and ensemble value.
