Inleiding
Voormalige PASTORIE, genaamd 'Ghispesteijn', behorende bij de oudere N.H. Kerk (geregistreerd als rijksmonument onder nummer 22943), gelegen binnen de historische dorpskern van Jisp. De pastorie in Eclectische stijl is in het laatste kwart van de negentiende eeuw gebouwd naar een ontwerp van de Purmerendse architect Jan Mager. De teruggerooide pastorie, met voorerf en ruime achtertuin ligt schuin tegenover de kerk aan de noordzijde van de Dorpsstraat.
N.B. Ten tijde van de opname (1998) werd de keukenaanbouw aan de achterzijde voorzien van een kapreconstructie. N.B. Rechts van de aanbouw aan de achterzijde bevindt zich een aangebouwde schuur die buiten de bescherming valt.
Omschrijving
Op een L-vormige plattegrond opgetrokken pastorie van twee bouwlagen in grauw/rood bakstenen kruisverband onder met gesmoorde oude holle pannen gedekte zadeldaken. In het metselwerk boven de begane grond een kantstenen bakstenen fries en onder de dakrand een bloklijst. Rondom een donkergroen geschilderde gepleisterde plint. Aan de achterzijde, een eenlaagse keukenaanbouw onder een met gesmoorde tuile du Nordpannen gedekt geknikt dak. De drie kopse tuitgevels zijn op vergelijkbare wijze geleed met gepleisterde hoeklisenen met afzaten, banden en dekplaten en een gepleisterd fries langs de dakrand. Boven de hoeklisenen en in de tuit op een console bevinden zich eenvoudige aedicula-achtige blokken. Binnen de lisenen is in pleister de volgende geleding aangebracht: een plint met rechthoekige spaarvelden op de begane grond, een smallere drievlaksverdeling met boven het midden een keperboog die een fries met rechthoekige spaarvelden doorbreekt. Hierboven op de verdieping een borstwering met daarboven een rechtgesloten drievlaksverdeling onder een getrapt veld met daarin een trapeziumvormig spaarveld. Aan weerszijden van deze geleding vergelijkbare pilasters als op de hoeken met dezelfde aedicula-achtige blokken. Aansluitend op de zolderverdieping twee gekoppelde vensters onder een fronton dat overgaat in de bekroning van de geveltop. De tuitgevel aan de straatzijde (Z) heeft op de begane grond en op de verdieping in alle vlakken (schuif)ramen met bovenlichten en in de borstwering de naam 'Ghispesteijn' in cursief. De tuitgevel aan de oostelijke kant heeft alleen in de middelste vlakken glas (T-ramen), in de borstwering een sierlijst als de kantstenen bakstenen lijst en reliëfcirkels in het fries. De tuitgevel aan de westelijke zijde is hetzelfde maar op de verdieping geheel blind.
De lange zijde aan de straatkant heeft op de begane grond twee paar openslaande tuindeuren met bovenlicht en op de verdieping drie T-ramen, alle gevat in een stuclijst met fronton. Rechts in de oksel een uitgebouwde ingangsportiek onder een plat dak, overkragend op gesneden consoles. De voordeur bevindt zich onder een vlakke luifel en bovenlicht. De sobere gestucte omlijsting van de voorzijde van de uitbouw sluit aan op drie hardstenen stoeptreden. In de zijkant van de uitbouw een rond vierruits raam met lekdorpel.
De sobere achtergevel heeft links een gewijzigd keukenraam en, in de aanbouw van links naar rechts een tuindeur met bovenlicht, een klein raam, en een nieuw raam.
Het interieur heeft gedeeltelijk de oorspronkelijke indeling met onder andere paneeldeuren uit de bouwtijd.
Waardering
Uit het laatste kwart van de negentiende eeuw daterende voormalige pastorie bij de N.H. kerk, van algemeen belang wegens architectuur- en cultuurhistorisch waarde als kenmerkend voorbeeld van een notabelenwoning op het platteland met voor de bouwtijd en functie kenmerkende eclectische detaillering. Tevens van belang als beeldbepalend onderdeel in de gevarieerde historische lintbebouwing van Jisp en vanwege de oorspronkelijke samenhang met de nabijgelegen kerk.

Former PARSONAGE, named 'Ghispesteijn', belonging to the older N.H. Church (registered as a national monument under number 22943), located within the historic village centre of Jisp. The parsonage in Eclectic style was built in the last quarter of the nineteenth century according to a design by the Purmerend architect Jan Mager. The setback parsonage, with front yard and spacious back garden lies diagonally opposite the church on the north side of the Dorpsstraat.
N.B. At the time of the survey (1998) the kitchen extension on the rear was provided with a roof truss structure. N.B. To the right of the extension on the rear there is an attached barn which falls outside the protection.
Description
Parsonage built on an L-shaped ground plan of two storeys in grey/red brickwork in Flemish bond under saddle roofs covered with old hand-made pantiles with smoke-blackened finish. In the masonry above the ground floor a brick cornerstones frieze and below the roof edge a block cornice. All around a dark green painted plastered plinth. On the rear side, a single-storey kitchen extension under a bent roof covered with smoke-blackened Tuile du Nord pantiles. The three spout gables are articulated in a comparable manner with plastered corner strips with offsets, bands and coping stones and a plastered frieze along the roof edge. Above the corner strips and in the spout on a console are simple aedicula-like blocks. Within the strips is the following articulation rendered in plaster: a plinth with rectangular spandrel fields on the ground floor, a narrower three-part division with above the centre a segmental arch that interrupts a frieze with rectangular spandrel fields. Above this on the first floor a parapet with above it a right-angled three-part division under a stepped field containing a trapezoidal spandrel field. On either side of this articulation comparable pilasters as on the corners with the same aedicula-like blocks. Adjacent to the attic floor two coupled windows under a pediment that flows into the crowning of the gable top. The spout gable on the street side (S) has on the ground floor and on the first floor in all bays (sash) windows with fanlights and in the parapet the name 'Ghispesteijn' in cursive. The spout gable on the eastern side has glass only in the middle bays (T-windows), in the parapet an ornamental moulding like the brick cornerstones list and relief circles in the frieze. The spout gable on the western side is the same but on the first floor entirely blind.
The long side on the street front has on the ground floor two pairs of French doors with fanlight and on the first floor three T-windows, all set in a stucco moulding with pediment. Right in the corner a projecting entrance portico under a flat roof, cantilever on cut consoles. The front door is situated under a flat canopy and fanlight. The sober stuccoed moulding of the front of the extension adjoins three bluestone steps. In the side of the extension a round four-pane window with drip moulding.
The sober rear facade has on the left an altered kitchen window and, in the extension from left to right a French door with fanlight, a small window, and a new window.
The interior has partially retained the original layout with among other things panelled doors from the construction period.
Valuation
Former parsonage dating from the last quarter of the nineteenth century belonging to the N.H. Church, of general importance on account of architectural and cultural-historical value as a characteristic example of a notable's residence in the countryside with eclectic detailing characteristic of the construction period and function. Also of importance as a character-defining component in the varied historic ribbon development of Jisp and because of the original relationship with the nearby church.
