Complexonderdeel 2
Het BOTENHUIS is opgetrokken op een rechthoekige plattegrond met gepotdekselde houten wanden onder een zadeldak, dat een aankapping heeft aan de zuidwestelijke langsgevel.
In de voorgevel (zuidoost) een rechtgesloten dubbele opgeklampte deur met gehengen onder drie vierkante decoratieve nissen en een ruitvormige nis in de top. Links van de deur een korfboogvormige gevelopening. In de rechter zijgevel (noordoost) een houten deur en twee vierruits vensters met houten kozijnen.
Waardering
Het botenhuis van 't Sonnehuijs is van algemeen belang vanwege de cultuurhistorische waarde als uitdrukking van de ontwikkeling van het toerisme rond de Kager Plassen in de eerste decennia van de twintigste eeuw.
Het botenhuis van algemeen belang vanwege architectuurhistorische waarde wegens de aan de Engelse landhuisstijl verwante bouwstijl met boerderij-elementen.

The BOATHOUSE is constructed on a rectangular plan with roughly rendered wooden walls under a gabled roof, which has a lean-to addition on the southwestern long side.
In the front facade (southeast) a right-angled double clamped door with hinges below three square decorative niches and a diamond-shaped niche in the gable. To the left of the door a basket-arch-shaped wall opening. In the right side facade (northeast) a wooden door and two four-pane windows with wooden frames.

The boathouse of 't Sonnehuijs is of general interest because of its cultural-historical value as an expression of the development of tourism around the Kager Plassen in the first decades of the twentieth century.
