Inleiding
BOERDERIJ van het dwarshuistype in Ambachtelijk-traditionele bouwtrant, behorend bij een complex waartoe ook twee hooibergen, het toegangshek, een wagenschuur en de karnschuur annex stal behoren. In de stichtingssteen 'D.E.S.G. door J.F. Oltshoorn oud 84 jaar 19 6-3 00'. De boerderij bevindt zich na betreding van het erf aan de rechterzijde, het dwarsgeplaatste woonhuis met de voorgevel zonder deur naar de weg gericht. De boerderij is ingericht op het zelf maken van kaas en boter en is een vrij laat maar geheel in oorspronkelijke staat verkerend voorbeeld van de Hollandse kaasboerderij. Na 1900 als de bedrijfsvoering anders wordt, komt dit type bijna niet meer voor. Het erf met diverse beplanting wordt van de Oostveenseweg door een sloot gescheiden. De boerderij is nog gesitueerd temidden van het oorspronkelijke polderlandschap.
Omschrijving
Op een L-vormige plattegrond in gele baksteen in kruisverband opgetrokken boerderij bestaande uit een woonhuis onder een zadeldak met de noklijn evenwijdig aan de straat en haaks hierop aan de achterzijde een bedrijfsgedeelte onder een zadeldak met lagere noklijn. De daken zijn met rode Hollandse pannen gedekt en voorzien van bakgoten op gootklossen. In het metselwerk staafankers.
De asymmetrische voorgevel (zuiden) heeft vier zesruits schuiframen met geprofileerde kalven, waarvan de twee ramen rechts boven drie kelderramen zijn geplaatst. De kelderamen zijn voorzien van luiken en diefijzers. In de rode bakstenen strekken boven de kelderramen in reliëf de letters 'IHS' met een kruis. In het midden van de gevel de stichtingssteen.
De linker zijgevel aan het erf heeft gesneden windveren en een makelaar in de kap van het woongedeelte, met daaronder een zesruits schuifvenster onder een eensteens strek en op de begane grond een groter zesruits schuifvenster onder anderhalfsteens strek. In het lager opgetrokken bedrijfsgedeelte een zesruits schuifvenster in de kamer, twee gewijzigde schuifvensters, twee deuren onder tweeruits bovenlichten en drie rondbogige stalramen met ijzeren negenruits roedeverdeling en diefijzers onder segmentbogen.
De achtergevel met windveren heeft op de begane grond drie deuren, waarvan twee gedeelde, en daarboven hooiluiken, alle onder drieruits bovenlichten.
De rechter zijgevel heeft in het woongedeelte twee kelderramen als in de voorgevel, met luiken onder anderhalfsteens strekken en een zesruits schuifraam. In de kap gesneden windveren en een makelaar. In de oksel van de L-vorm van het woonhuis, op het noordoosten, bevindt zich het melkhok van tochtlatten onder een met rode Hollandse pannen gedekt lessenaarsdak. In het melkhok een spoelbak en een breed kelderluik. In het bedrijfsgedeelte twee zesruits schuifvensters, een deur onder een tweeruits bovenlicht, drie stalramen en een klein raampje.
In het interieur is de kaaskelder met troggewelfjes op latten nog geheel intact met drie spoelbakken, waterleiding en vloerplavuizen. Boven de kaaskelder de opkamer. In de keuken bestrating met gele IJsselsteentjes. Nog aanwezig zijn de eenvoudige paneeldeuren en een bedstedewand. In het bedrijfsgedeelte zijn de stallen nog oorspronkelijk.

De boerderij is van algemeen belang vanwege cultuurhistorische en architectuurhistorische waarde
- als element in de agrarische geschiedenis van Zuid-Holland met name vanwege de nog duidelijk afleesbare functie van kaasboerderij.

In the foundation stone 'D.E.S.G. by J.F. Oltshoorn aged 84 years 19 6-3 00'. The farmhouse is situated after entering the farmyard on the right side, the transversely positioned dwelling house with its front facade without door facing the road. The farmhouse is arranged for the making of cheese and butter and is a relatively late but entirely original example of the Dutch cheese farmhouse. Description
On an L-shaped plan constructed in yellow brickwork in running bond farmhouse consisting of a dwelling house under a gabled roof with the ridge line parallel to the street and perpendicular to it at the rear a business section under a gabled roof with lower ridge line. The roofs are tiled with red Dutch tiles and provided with bake gutters on gutter brackets. In the brickwork wall anchors.
The asymmetrical front facade (south) has four six-light sash windows with moulded frames, of which the two windows on the right are positioned above three basement windows. The basement windows are provided with shutters and anti-theft bars. In the red brick courses above the basement windows in relief the letters 'IHS' with a cross. The left side wall to the farmyard has carved bargeboard finials and a maker's mark in the roof of the dwelling section, with below it a six-light sash window under a single-brick course and on the ground floor a larger six-light sash window under a one-and-a-half-brick course. The right side wall has in the dwelling section two basement windows as in the front facade, with shutters under one-and-a-half-brick courses and a six-light sash window. In the angle of the L-shape of the dwelling house, on the north-east, is situated the milking parlour of draught laths under a roof with red Dutch tiles tiled in lean-to fashion. In the milking parlour a scouring trough and a wide basement hatch. In the business section two six-light sash windows, a door with a two-light fanlight, three livestock windows and a small window.
In the interior the cheese cellar with barrel vaults on laths is completely intact with three scouring troughs, water pipe and floor tiles. Above the cheese cellar the drying room. In the kitchen flooring with yellow IJssel tiles. Still present are the simple panel doors and a built-in cupboard. In the business section the stalls are still original.
