Inleiding
WOONHUIS uit ca. 1870-1880, opgetrokken in Ambachtelijk-traditionele stijl, deel uitmakend van de lintbebouwing aan de Groenstraat, een van de vier 'kruisstraten', die het oude centrum van Udenhout vormen. In de tuin een kastanje en twee rode beuken.
Omschrijving
Eenlaags woonhuis, opgetrokken uit baksteen onder zadeldak met oud-Hollandse pannen met aan de achterzijde een aanbouw, de stal met voormalig koetshuis, onder afgewolfd zadeldak. De voorgevel telt vijf traveeën en heeft een gepleisterde plint. De voordeur is een kussenpaneeldeur met getoogd bovenlicht, gevat in een stucomlijsting met kuif. Links en rechts twee getoogde zesruits schuiframen, voorzien van paneelluiken, onder trapsgewijs gemetselde, sierlijke segmenttogen. Gestuct fries met verdiepte velden, tandlijst en houten gootlijst. De linker zijgevel heeft beneden een zesruits schuifraam met oorspronkelijk houten rolluik met kast en op de verdieping twee getoogde zesruits ramen. Topgevel met rollaag en schoorsteen. De rechter zijgevel heeft zesruits ramen met luiken en boven getoogde zesruits ramen, een topgevel met rollaag en hoekschoorsteen.
De achtergevel heeft een deur met gedeeld bovenlicht, een vergroot raam, een bakstenen tandlijst en een dakkapel. De aanbouw heeft getoogde stalramen en raam- en deuropeningen. Single-storey dwelling, built of brickwork under a gabled roof with old Dutch tiles with a rear extension, the stable with former coach house, under a segmental gabled roof. The front facade has five bays and has a plastered plinth. The front door is a cushion panel door with a segmental fanlight, set in a stucco surround with a moulding. Left and right two segmental six-pane sash windows, fitted with panel shutters, under trapezoid-stepped, elegant segmental arches. Plastered frieze with recessed fields, dentil moulding and wooden gutter moulding. The left side facade has below a six-pane sash window with original wooden roller shutter with box and on the upper storey two segmental six-pane windows. Gable end with roll course and chimney. The right side facade has six-pane windows with shutters and above segmental six-pane windows, a gable end with roll course and corner chimney.
The rear facade has a door with divided fanlight, an enlarged window, a brick dentil moulding and a roof dormer. The extension has segmental stable windows and window and door openings. The doors are cramped, the windows have four- and six-pane divisions. There are two carriage gateways.
