HERENHUIS, gebouwd rond 1880 in Eclectische stijl.
Omschrijving
Tweelaags woonhuis, opgetrokken uit baksteen onder schilddak met verbeterde Hollandse pannen. Aan de achterzijde een haakse aanbouw. De voorgevel telt vijf traveeën en heeft een hardstenen plint met cassettenversiering. Hij wordt geleed door hoeklisenen en heeft een middenrisaliet en wordt afgesloten door een cassettenfries met geprofileerde lijstgoot op voluutconsoles.
De entree heeft een gestucte omlijsting met kroonlijst op voluten en een kussenpaneeldeur. Links en rechts twee schuiframen met stucomlijstingen met afgeronde hoeken en kuif. In de bovenlichten ornamentaal glas-in-lood. Op de verdieping T-ramen met dezelfde omlijstingen. De linker zijgevel heeft beneden drie zesruits schuiframen en daarboven een dito raam. De rechter gevel heeft op de verdieping een T-raam. De achtergevel heeft een tandlijst onder de dakrand en een houten erker. Op de verdieping zesruits schuiframen. Haakse aanbouw onder zadeldak met verbeterde Hollandse pannen. Zesruits ramen en laadluik in de topgevel. Rollaag en overhoekse toppinakel.
Tegen de zijgevel een leipeer.
Inwendig heeft het huis onder meer een suitekamer met stucplafonds, marmeren schouw, ramen met binnenluiken en een scheidingswand in hout met gefacetteerd glas en glas-in-lood panelen. Voor het huis een smeedijzeren hekwerk met hardstenen voetmuur en links een poort met bakstenen hekpijlers.
Waardering
Het huis is van algemeen belang. Het heeft architectuurhistorische waarde als voorbeeld van de toepassing van motieven uit de neostijlen aan een bouwwerk, dat getuigt van de negentiende-eeuwse bloei van de Meijerij. Two-storey residential house, constructed of brick under a hipped roof with improved Dutch tiles. At the rear a right-angled extension. The front facade has five bays and features a hardstone plinth with cassette decoration. It is articulated by corner pilasters and has a central risalit and is terminated by a cassette frieze with moulded drip moulding on scroll consoles.
The entrance has a stuccoed frame with cornice on scrolls and a cushion-panel door. Left and right two sash windows with stucco frames with rounded corners and hood. In the fanlights ornamental stained glass. On the upper storey T-windows with the same frames. The left side elevation has below three six-light sash windows and above one similar window. The right elevation has on the upper storey a T-window. The rear elevation has a tooth course below the roof edge and a wooden bay window. On the upper storey six-light sash windows. Right-angled extension under a gabled roof with improved Dutch tiles. Six-light windows and a loading door in the gable. Half-hipped roof and corner-set gable finial.
Against the side elevation a slate pear.
Interior the house has among other things a suite room with stuccoed ceilings, marble chimneypiece, windows with interior shutters and a partition in wood with faceted glass and stained glass panels. In front of the house a wrought-iron fence with hardstone base wall and on the left a gate with brick fence posts.
Valuation
The house is of general importance. It has architectural-historical value as an example of the application of motifs from neo-styles to a building that testifies to the nineteenth-century flourishing of the Meijerij. It has ensemble values as part of the series of valuable farmhouses and residential houses within the settlement structure of the 'cross streets'. It has survived in good condition.
