Omschrijving
Inleiding.
De entree van de begraafplaats, bestaande uit een TOEGANGSHEK met BEELDEN van omstreeks 1900 is aan de westzijde van de begraafplaats gelegen en bevindt zich ten oosten van het koor van de Martinuskerk. Vanaf de entree loopt de hoofdas in de begraafplaatsaanleg in oostelijke richting naar de calvarieberg.
Omschrijving.
Aan weerszijden van de toegang staat een kunststenen sokkel, die een beeld draagt en waaraan tevens het eenvoudige tweedelige smeedijzeren toegangshek is bevestigd. De noordelijke sokkel draagt het natuurstenen beeld, voorstellende een half ontkleede treurende Job met bedelnap in de rechterhand. In de sokkel is een hardstenen plaat aangebracht met de inscriptie "ONTFERM U/ MIJNER,/ ALTHANS GIJ/ MIJNE VRIENDEN !/ WANT GODS HAND/ HEEFT MIJ/ GETROFFEN/ JOB. XIX 21". De zuidelijke sokkel draagt het natuurstenen beeld van een treurende en geknielde Daniël in geplooid gewaad met een liggende leeuw erachter. In de sokkel is een hardstenen plaat aangebracht met de inscriptie "MIJN GOD/ HEEFT ZIJN' ENGEL/ GEZONDEN,/ DIE DEN MUIL/ DER LEEUWEN/ HEEFT / TOEGESLOTEN./ DAN. VI.23."
Waardering.
De entree, bestaande uit toegangshek met beelden is van algemeen belang mede vanwege de samenhang met de andere complexonderdelen. Zij heeft cultuurhistorische waarde als onderdeel van de katholieke begraafcultuur in de tijd van de katholieke emancipatie. Zij is gaaf en compleet bewaard gebleven.

The entrance to the cemetery, consisting of an ACCESS GATE with FIGURES dating from around 1900, is located on the west side of the cemetery and is situated to the east of the choir of the Martinuskerk. From the entrance, the main axis of the cemetery layout runs in an easterly direction towards the calvary hill.
Description.
On either side of the entrance stands an artificial stone plinth, which carries a figure and to which the simple two-part wrought-iron access gate is also attached. The northern plinth carries the natural stone figure, depicting a half-naked mourning Job with a begging bowl in his right hand. In the plinth is a hardstone plate with the inscription "HAVE PITY ON/ ME, HAVE PITY/ ON ME AT LEAST YOU,/ MY FRIENDS!/ FOR THE HAND/ OF GOD/ HAS STRUCK/ ME/ JOB. XIX 21". The southern plinth carries the natural stone figure of a mourning and kneeling Daniel in pleated garments with a reclining lion behind him. In the plinth is a hardstone plate with the inscription "MY GOD/ HAS SENT HIS ANGEL,/ WHO HAS/ CLOSED THE MOUTHS/ OF THE LIONS./ DAN. VI.23."
Valuation.
The entrance, consisting of access gate with figures, is of general interest also on account of its coherence with the other complex components. It has cultural-historical value as part of Catholic burial culture during the period of Catholic emancipation. It has been preserved intact and complete.
