Omschrijving
DIENSTWONING (deel van het huidige hoofdgebouw) MET TUINMUUR behorende tot de buitenplaats Offem. Op het terrein van de voormalige moestuin met tuinmuur staat het huidige hoofdgebouw gevormd door een in oorsprong vroeg-19de-eeuwse (of laat-18de-eeuwse) stal annex koetshuis en een laat-19de-eeuwse dienstwoning, waartussen in ca.1952 een nieuwe tussenbouw is gezet. In 1999-2000 is het geheel gerenoveerd/gerestaureerd. Voor de bescherming van belang is de DIENSTWONING en de aansluitende TUINMUUR. De op rechthoekige grondslag opgetrokken bakstenen dienstwoning in Engelse cottagestijl bestaat uit één bouwlaag en een kapverdieping onder een rieten wolfdak met bakstenen nokvorst; ter plaatse van de toegangs- en tuindeur in de langsgevels is de dakrand opgelicht en is een, met hout betimmerde verdieping geformeerd onder een steekkap die doorloopt tot aan de nok. Een (bouw)naad in het riet- en muurwerk geeft de scheiding aan tussen de cottage en de aanbouw uit ca.1952, deze laatste is voor de bescherming van ondergeschikt belang. De gevels zijn voorzien van roedenvensters met luiken geschilderd in zandlopermotief (rood/wit); in het dakschild van de zijgevels een dakkapel. In de noordwestgevel bevindt zich de toegangsdeur met bovenlicht met links daarvan venster; de kopse gevel heeft twee vensterassen met vierkante kruisvensters met roeden en luiken en daarboven een enkel en een gekoppeld roedenvenster. De zuidoostgevel aan de tuinzijde heeft links een groot driedelig roedenvenster en rechts een rechthoekig portaal waarin de tuindeur met bovenlicht en nog een driedelig roedenvenster. Aansluitende op de kopse gevel een laat-18de-eeuwse TUINMUUR van rode handvorm baksteen onder een rollaag. Een tweede toegang tot de voormalige moestuin is aan de noordoostzijde en wordt gevormd door een bakstenen muurtje en twee pijlers.

SERVANTS' DWELLING (part of the present main building) WITH GARDEN WALL belonging to the country estate Offem. On the site of the former kitchen garden with garden wall stands the present main building formed by an originally early-19th-century (or late-18th-century) stable annex coach house and a late-19th-century servants' dwelling, between which a new intermediate section was inserted in c.1952. In 1999-2000 the whole was renovated/restored. For the purposes of protection the SERVANTS' DWELLING and the adjoining GARDEN WALL are relevant. The brick servants' dwelling built on a rectangular ground plan in English cottage style consists of one storey and a roof storey under a thatched half-hipped roof with brick ridge; at the location of the entrance and garden door in the long facades the roof edge is raised and a storey clad with wood has been formed under a pitched-roof gable which extends to the ridge. A (construction) seam in the thatch and masonry indicates the division between the cottage and the extension from c.1952, the latter is of subordinate importance for protection. The facades are provided with glazing bar windows with shutters painted in hourglass motif (red/white); in the roof slopes of the side facades a roof dormer. In the northwest facade is the entrance door with fanlight with to its left a window; the end gable has two window bays with square cross windows with glazing bars and shutters and above them a single and a coupled glazing bar window. The southeast facade on the garden side has on the left a large three-part glazing bar window and on the right a rectangular portico in which the garden door with fanlight and another three-part glazing bar window. Adjoining the end gable a late-18th-century GARDEN WALL of red handmade brick under a roll course. A second entrance to the former kitchen garden is on the northeast side and is formed by a small brick wall and two piers.
