Omschrijving onderdeel 2: PARKAANLEG.
19e eeuwse landschappelijke aanleg, gecomponeerd vanuit het huis: er zijn belangrijke gezichten vanuit het huis in het park, maar ook daarbuiten tot in het agrarische landschap; de belangrijkste zichtas is het op de hoofdingang van het huis gerichte deel van de openbare en geasfalteerde Rossweg, die vanuit het oosten op de voorgevel van het huis gericht is; dit deel van de Rossweg heeft een breed profiel van grasbermen en jonge aanplant van beuken in driehoeksverband; tussen de voordeur en het Rosswegtracee ligt, in het verlengde van het nieuw ingerichte voorplein, een langgerekte wei, die gedeeltelijk door boomgroepen begrensd wordt; op dit moment wordt de zichtlaan vanuit het huis aan het oog onttrokken door opslag en verkeerd geplante bomen. Een tweede, smalle zichtlaan met enkele rijen beuk loopt vanaf één der twee poorten in de moestuinmuur (zie onderdeel 5), in het verlengde van de oostgevel van het huis, tot aan de Rossweg; dit laantje dateert uit de jaren 50 van de 20e eeuw; verder zijn er vanuit het huis nog twee andere gezichten op het omringende landschap: de ene is westwaarts gericht over de vijver en het gazon direct ten westen van het huis; de grillig gevormde vijver grenst op de zuidwesthoek aan een klein bosje met loof- en naaldhout; het gezicht wordt aan de noordzijde begrensd door een stuk bos, dat tot aan de Rossweg loopt; het andere gezicht is naar het zuiden gericht, gedeeltelijk over de andere, iets kleinere vijver, die direct ten zuidoosten van het huis ligt; ook aan deze vijver grenst een stukje parkbos, dat het voorplein aan de zuidzijde en het genoemde gezicht aan de oostzijde afsluit. N.B.: de beide vijvers waren vroeger met elkaar verbonden. Direct ten noorden van het huis bevindt zich de moestuin met een ovale plattegrond, XVIIId; de noordelijke helft is omgeven door een muur (zie onderdeel 5), de zuidelijke helft door een beukenhaag. In het bosperceel langs de Rossweg ten noordoosten van het huis ligt de eigenlijke oprit naar het voorplein; er is geen duidelijke laanbeplanting; op het voorplein staan enkele monumentale solitairen, waaronder een rode beuk, een paardekastanje met afleggers en enkele eiken; aanplantingen uit de jaren 60 en 70 van de 20e eeuw zijn storend in de oorspronkelijke aanleg.

19th century landscaped layout, composed from the house: there are important views from the house into the park, but also beyond into the agricultural landscape; the principal sight line is the section of the public and asphalted Rossweg, which is oriented towards the main entrance of the house, approaching from the east towards the front facade of the house; this section of the Rossweg has a broad profile with grass verges and young plantings of beech trees in triangular arrangement; between the front door and the Rossweg, in the continuation of the newly laid out forecourt, lies an elongated meadow, which is partly bounded by groups of trees; at present the sight line from the house is obscured from view by undergrowth and incorrectly planted trees. A second, narrow sight line with single rows of beech runs from one of the two gates in the kitchen garden wall (see component 5), in the continuation of the east facade of the house, to the Rossweg; this lane dates from the 1950s; furthermore there are from the house two other views of the surrounding landscape: one is directed westwards over the pond and the lawn directly west of the house; the irregularly shaped pond borders a small wood of deciduous and coniferous trees at the southwest corner; the view is bounded on the north side by a stretch of woodland that extends to the Rossweg; the other view is directed to the south, partly over the other, slightly smaller pond, which lies directly southeast of the house; there also borders a piece of park woodland at this pond, which encloses the forecourt on the south side and the said view on the east side. N.B.: the two ponds were formerly connected to each other. Directly north of the house is the kitchen garden with an oval ground plan, 18th century; the northern half is surrounded by a wall (see component 5), the southern half by a beech hedge. In the woodland parcel along the Rossweg northeast of the house lies the actual drive to the forecourt; there is no clear avenue planting; on the forecourt stand several monumental solitary trees, including a red beech, a horse chestnut with offshoots and several oaks; plantings from the 1960s and 70s are disruptive to the original layout.
