Omschrijving
BEDRIJFSGEBOUW (C) (oorspronkelijk gasfabriek, tegenwoordig grondstoffen opslag en silo) noordwestelijk gelegen van het aangrenzende hoofdgebouw, wordt gedekt door een met mastiek belegd zadeldak voorzien van geprofileerde bakgoten, dat haaks op de weg is gesitueerd. Het in Groninger baksteen (kruisverband) opgetrokken gebouw bezit een rechthoekige plattegrond. De hoogte alsook de indeling van de gevels met vensters boven elkaar, wekt de indruk hier te maken te hebben met meer dan een bouwlaag.
Als VOORGEVEL wordt beschouwd de noordelijke langszijde die wordt gekenmerkt door tien spaarvelden waar de drie linker velden grotendeels door een schuifdeur onder een betonnen latei in beslag worden genomen. Rechts hiervan volgen drie velden met drie vensters met 4x2-ruits ramen (als in de voorgevel), onder de middelste triplet is het muurwerk gewijzigd. In het veld ernaast komt een opgeklampte kraalprofieldeur onder een latei voor, met rechts een raam. Hierboven komt weer een triplet standaardtype raam voor dat zich naar rechts in de drie volgende velden in twee rijen boven elkaar herhaalt.
De LINKER ZIJGEVEL met topgevel rijst uit boven de lagere voorgevel van het hoofdgebouw dat hier haaks op aansluit. De geveltop is door lisenen in drie velden verdeeld waarin in het middelste een drie vensters voorkomen. De velden ter weerszijden zijn blind uitgevoerd en worden afgesloten door een uitgemetseld klimmend fries.
De ACHTERGEVEL reikt eveneens boven de aangrenzende lagere bebouwing uit maar kan vanaf het fabrieksterrein niet worden waargenomen. Vanuit het interieur is te constateren dat deze gevel bovenaan dezelfde raam-indeling als de voorgevel bezit.
De RECHTER ZIJGEVEL bevat twee, door een kolom gescheiden, oorspronkelijke meerruits stalen kanteldeuren die zijn bezet met damwand-platen. De geveltop is identiek aan de linker zijgevel.
Het INTERIEUR bevat onder meer een kleine ruimte aan de westzijde, waarin zich silo's bevinden. Een muur, waarin zich een dichtgezette opening onder een latei met transportrail bevindt, scheidt de ruimten. De beschoten kap wordt gedragen door stalen spanten die rusten op de buitenmuren.

BEDRIJFSGEBOUW

Description
INDUSTRIAL BUILDING (C) (originally gas works, currently raw materials storage and silo) located northwest of the adjoining main building, is covered by a gabled roof with mastic covering provided with profiled gutters, which is situated transversely to the road. The building, built in Groninger brick (English bond), has a rectangular floor plan. The height as well as the arrangement of the facades with windows above one another, gives the impression of having more than one storey.
The northern long side is considered the FRONT FACADE and is characterised by ten spandrels where the three left sections are largely occupied by a sliding door under a concrete lintel. To the right of this follow three sections with three windows with 4x2-paned windows (as in the front facade), the brickwork below the middle triplet has been altered. In the adjoining section is a clamped bead-profile door under a lintel, with a window to the right. Above this comes again a triplet of standard type window that repeats itself to the right in the three following sections in two rows above one another.
The LEFT SIDE FACADE with gable top rises above the lower front facade of the main building which adjoins here transversely. The gable top is divided by pilasters into three sections in which in the middle one three windows occur. The sections on either side are blind and are terminated by a built-up climbing frieze.
The REAR FACADE also extends above the adjoining lower buildings but cannot be observed from the factory site. From the interior it can be established that this facade at the top has the same window arrangement as the front facade.
The RIGHT SIDE FACADE contains two, separated by a column, original multi-paned steel tilt doors which are fitted with steel sheet plates. The gable top is identical to the left side facade.
The INTERIOR contains among other things a small space on the west side, in which silos are located. A wall, in which there is a sealed opening under a lintel with transport rail, separates the spaces. The boarded roof truss structure is supported by steel roof frames which rest on the external walls.
