Omschrijving onderdeel 2.
HISTORISCHE TUIN- EN PARKAANLEG behorende tot de historische buitenplaats De Brink. Parkaanleg in landschapsstijl, gecomponeerd rond verhoogd gelegen hoofdgebouw en zeer waarschijnlijk daterend uit dezelfde tijd (1856). Het park kenmerkt zich door open en gesloten partijen die het kader vormen van diverse doorzichten vanuit het huis in het park en in het park zelf. Het terrein is sterk geaccidenteerd met wandelingen over in curven gebogen slingerpaden. Vanuit het huis en vanaf de paden mooie doorzichten naar een uitgestrekte vijverpartij in landschapsstijl ten westen van het huis. In de noordwesthoek van het terrein een bij de aanleg behorende ornamentele boerderij, die in de aanleg een grote decoratieve waarde vertegenwoordigt. De boerderij ligt op de grens van park- en weidegebied. Vanaf de voorzijde kijkt men uit over een deels met bomen omzoomd weiland. Oorspronkelijk werd het zicht op dit weiland verlevendigd door een boomgroep, die tegenwoordig niet meer aanwezig is. Vanaf de entreezijde van het huis (achtergevel) was er oorspronkelijk een uitgestrekt gezicht in zuidoostelijke richting. Dit is vermoedelijk in de eerste helft van deze eeuw vernauwd en dichtgeplant. Recentelijk (± '96-'97) heeft men naar een bestaande ontwerptekening/situatieschets uit het begin van de eeuw enige veranderingen aangebracht in de aanleg. Zo is een deel van de aanplant die de zichtas afsloot verwijderd, waarna dit rechthoekige stuk grond met gras werd ingezaaid. Ter weerszijden van dit stuk gazon twee monumentale taxussen, markante overblijfselen van (een latere vernauwing van) de zichtas. Het park bevat nog veel van de oorspronkelijke houtopstand: eik, beuk, kastanje, taxus. In het zuidoostelijke deel van het terrein, tegenwoordig afgesplitst en bij het buurperceel getrokken, ligt een pad met laanbomen en een fraaie, oude boomgroep aan het einde, overgebleven van de aanleg uit 1856.

HISTORIC GARDEN AND PARK LAYOUT belonging to the historic country estate De Brink. Park layout in landscape style, composed around an elevated main building and very probably dating from the same period (1856). The park is characterized by open and enclosed areas that form the framework of various views from the house into the park and within the park itself. The terrain is strongly undulating with walks over winding paths curved in curves. From the house and from the paths fine views towards an extensive water feature in landscape style to the west of the house. In the northwest corner of the terrain an ornamental farmhouse belonging to the layout, which represents a great decorative value in the composition. The farmhouse lies on the boundary of park and pasture land. From the front one looks out over a partly tree-lined meadow. Originally the view of this meadow was enlivened by a group of trees, which is no longer present nowadays. From the entrance side of the house (rear facade) there was originally an extensive view in a southeastern direction. This was probably narrowed and planted over in the first half of this century. Recently (± '96-'97) some changes were made to the layout based on an existing design drawing/site sketch from the beginning of the century. Thus part of the planting that blocked the sight-line was removed, after which this rectangular piece of land was sown with grass. On either side of this piece of lawn two monumental yews, striking remains of (a later narrowing of) the sight-line. The park still contains much of the original tree stock: oak, beech, chestnut, yew. In the southeastern part of the terrain, nowadays separated off and attached to the neighbouring plot, lies a path with avenue trees and a fine old group of trees at the end, remaining from the layout of 1856.
