Inleiding
PAARDENSTAL, gebouwd tussen 1890 en 1900 in samenhang met de overige delen van het stalhouderijcomplex, waarschijnlijk door dezelfde architect (misschien W.C. de Groot).
Omschrijving
Paardenstal op rechthoekige grondslag met zadeldak. In het midden van de voorgevel bevindt zich een risaliet met een topgevel. De stal heeft twee bouwlagen plus kap en is opgebouwd uit gele friese steen met onderdelen in rode baksteen. De zadeldaken zijn belegd met kruispannen. In het risaliet bevindt zich op de begane grond een dubbele deur onder een segmentboog van rode baksteen. Op de verdieping zit een dubbele deur met daarboven een rondbogig spaarveld, gevuld met metselmozaïek. Onder het dakoverstek heeft waarschijnlijk een hijsinstallatie gezeten. De geveltop is dichtgezet met decoratief houtwerk. De opvallend kleine vensters hebben rondbogige ontlastingen, waarvan de velden gevuld zijn met metselmozaïek. De verdiepingsscheidingen zijn gemarkeerd door banden van rood metselwerk. De linker zijgevel is rijker behandeld dan de rechter. De linkerzijgevel heeft rondbogige spaarvelden boven de openingen met kleurig metselmozaïek, waar de rechter slechts eenvoudige strekken heeft. Het dakoverstek wordt gedragen door bewerkte sparren. De achtergevel is eenvoudig gehouden: rechtgesloten vensters met strekken van rode baksteen.

Description
Horse stable on rectangular plan with gabled roof. In the centre of the front facade is a projecting section with a stepped gable. The stable has two storeys plus roof and is constructed of yellow Frisian brick with components in red brick. The gabled roofs are covered with plain tiles. In the projecting section is on the ground floor a double door under a segmental arch of red brick. On the upper storey sits a double door with above it a round-arched relieving panel, filled with masonry mosaic. Under the roof overhang probably stood a hoist installation. The gable top is closed with decorative woodwork. The strikingly small windows have round-arched relieving arches, of which the fields are filled with masonry mosaic. The storey divisions are marked by bands of red masonry. The left side facade is treated more richly than the right. The left side facade has round-arched relieving panels above the openings with coloured masonry mosaic, where the right has only simple stretches. The roof overhang is carried by worked rafters. The rear facade is kept simple: straight-ended windows with stretches of red brick.

Horse stable of general architectural-historical, business-historical and cultural-historical importance:
