Inleiding
Op de Joodse begraafplaats aan de Kemmer te Oirschot staat het GRAFTEKEN van D. de Winter, daterende uit omstreeks 1905.
Omschrijving
Het hardstenen staande grafmonument is aan de bovenzijde deels afgebroken. In de steen de inscriptie: "Hier rust / Daniël de Winter / geb. te Veghel 20 oct. 1858 / overl. te Oirschot 20 febr. 1905 / 5665 / in den ouderdom van 47 jaar".
Waardering
Het grafmonument is van algemeen belang. Het heeft cultuurhistorische waarde als bijzondere uitdrukking van de ontwikkeling van de Joodse grafcultuur op het platteland, het is tevens van belang als herinnering aan het sociale isolement van het Joodse volksdeel op het platteland en voor de typologische ontwikkeling van het grafmonument.
