Inleiding
Op de Joodse begraafplaats aan de Kemmer te Oirschot staat het GRAFTEKEN van Izaak Docters, daterende uit omstreeks 1896.
Beschrijving Het hardstenen staande grafmonument is aan de bovenzijde deels afgebroken. Daarboven staat een deels bewaard gebleven Hebreeuwse tekst. Onder de tekst: "Hier rust / Izaak Dokters geboren te Oirschot / 23 dec. 1807 / en overleden te Bokstel / 15 dec. 1896 / in den ouderdom van 86 jaar / Z.A.R.I.V.".
Waardering
Het grafmonument is van algemeen belang. Het heeft cultuurhistorische waarde als bijzondere uitdrukking van de ontwikkeling van de Joodse grafcultuur op het platteland, het is tevens van belang als herinnering aan het sociale isolement van het Joodse volksdeel op het platteland en voor de typologische ontwikkeling van het grafmonument.
