Omschrijving
HUIS, XVIII-b, met behoud en gebruikmaking van middeleeuws muurwerk; in 1880 aan de zuidoostzijde uitgebreid met blokvormig bouwlichaam; de plattegrond had tot deze uitbreiding de gedaante van een winkelhaak met scherpe hoek; door deze vergroting is hij min of meer U-vormig geworden. In de oude vleugel van rond 1738 bevindt zich vlak naast de nieuwe vleugel van 1880 de poort met doorrit, die oorspronkelijk van de middeleeuwse voorburcht naar het plein achter deze vleugel leidde. Aan de noordoostzijde (waar het huidige voorplein met de bouwhuizen zich bevinden) wordt de poortboog omlijst door Dorische pilasters, waarop de aanzetten van een fronton, eindigende in voluten; hiertussen het wapen van Baak met leeuwen als dragers; gehele gebouw wit gepleisterd en met schilddaken (met grijze pannen) op twee bouwlagen met kelderverdieping; alle ramen met T- en H-vensters en getoogde zandstenen omlijstingen; getoogde meerruits dakkapellen met vleugelstukken; dakruiter met ingesnoerde leigedekte spits en windvaan op daknok midden boven de poortdoorgang. Hoofdingang in de zuidoostgevel van de noordvleugel: met bovenliggend raam fraai omlijst in Lod. XIV-stijl; boven de dubbele deur alliantie wapens Van der Heyden - Van Hertefeldt. Aan de korte westgevel van de noordvleugel een houten waranda, 1869.

Description
HOUSE, second half of 18th century, with retention and use of medieval masonry; in 1880 extended on the south-east side with a block-shaped building; the ground plan had the shape of a right angle with acute angle until this extension; through this enlargement it became more or less U-shaped. In the old wing from around 1738 there is, close to the new wing of 1880, the gateway with passage, which originally led from the medieval barbican to the courtyard behind this wing. On the north-east side (where the present front courtyard with the utility buildings is located) the gate arch is framed by Doric pilasters, on which the springing of a pediment, ending in volutes; between them the coat of arms of Baak with lions as supporters; entire building rendered white and with hipped roofs (with grey tiles) on two storeys with basement; all windows with T- and H-windows and arched sandstone surrounds; arched multi-pane roof dormers with wing pieces; roof rider with compressed slate-covered spire and weathervane on roof ridge in the middle above the gateway passage. Main entrance in the south-east facade of the north wing: with superimposed window beautifully framed in Louis XIV style; above the double door alliance coats of arms Van der Heyden - Van Hertefeldt. On the short west facade of the north wing a wooden verandah, 1869.
Interior including: staircase and doors in Louis XIV style, second half of 18th century; some stucco ceilings from later period, first and second half of 19th century.
