KASTEEL, eerste kwart zestiende eeuw; gebouw in mergel op rechthoekige plattegrond; twee verdiepingen op keldergewelven en onder zadeldak met leien tussen twee trapgevels; drie schoorstenen, net naast de nok geplaatst in het westelijke dakschild; het gebouw beslaat de gehele westzijde van het ongeveer vierkant omgrachte terras; op de noordwesthoek een ronde toren van twee verdiepingen onder 8-vlaksspits, die aan de voet uitzwenkt naar de ronde vorm; ingang met stoep van vier hardstenen treden (afgeronde hoeken) aan lange oostgevel (pleinzijde); dubbele deur met smeedijzeren bovenlicht in hardstenen kozijn met segmentboog met sluitsteen, ongeveer 1780; ramen in deze gevel met dezelfde kozijnen als de ingangsdeur, maar met verschillende roedenverdelingen: meerruits-, 8-lichts- en T-ramen; boven de zinken goot drie houten dakkapellen met getoogd dakje; westgevel heeft naast T-vensters nog kruis- en kloosterramen uit de bouwtijd; zuidgevel met twee lichtgetoogde T-ramen, op de verdieping eveneens, daarboven twee kleine 4-lichtsramen; noordgevel: parterre een lichtgetoogd 8-ruitsvenster, daarboven een kloosterraam, daarboven een klein 4-ruitsvenstertje; de toren heeft twee T-vensters op de parterre en op de verdieping twee kloosterramen. Alle gevels, behalve de noordgevel, versierd met een laatgotisch bogenfries direct onder de dakgoot, ook in de toren doorlopend. Op de zuidoosthoek van het gebouw is rond 1780 een secretenhuisje aangebouwd: mergel met mansardedakje met lei gedekt; gladde hardstenen venster- en deuromlijstingen. Inwendig onder meer: kelders met tongewelven, in de toren een koepelgewelf; eikenhouten trap met gesneden hoofdbaluster, vierde kwart achttiende eeuw; in trappenhuis plafondrozet; gangen en vertrekken met eenvoudig stucwerk; segmentboogdeuren met in- en uitzwenkende panelen; nisschouw met gestucte schelp; twee gietijzeren haardomlijstingen in Lodewijk XV-stijl.

CASTLE, first quarter sixteenth century; building in marl on rectangular ground plan; two storeys on barrel-vaulted cellars and under gabled roof with slates between two stepped gables; three chimneys, placed just beside the ridge in the western roof slope; the building occupies the entire west side of the approximately square moated terrace; on the northwest corner a round tower of two storeys under 8-sided spire, which flares towards the round form at the base; entrance with stoop of four hard-stone steps (rounded corners) on the long east facade (courtyard side); double door with wrought-iron fanlight in hard-stone frame with segmental arch with voussoir, approximately 1780; windows in this facade with the same frames as the entrance door, but with different glazing bars: multi-pane, 8-light and T-windows; above the zinc gutter three wooden roof dormers with arched roof; west facade has, besides T-windows, cross and cloister windows from the construction period; south facade with two light-arched T-windows, on the storey likewise, above them two small 4-light windows; north facade: ground floor a light-arched 8-pane window, above it a cloister window, above it a small 4-pane windowlet; the tower has two T-windows on the ground floor and on the storey two cloister windows. All facades, except the north facade, decorated with a late-Gothic arcaded frieze directly under the eaves gutter, also running through in the tower. On the southeast corner of the building, around 1780, a small privvy building was added: marl with mansard roof covered with slate; plain hard-stone window and door surrounds. Interior includes: cellars with barrel vaults, in the tower a dome vault; oak staircase with carved principal baluster, fourth quarter eighteenth century; in stairwell ceiling rosette; corridors and rooms with simple stucco work; segmental-arch doors with in- and out-swinging panels; niche fireplace with stuccoed shell; two cast-iron fireplace surrounds in Louis XV style.
