HISTORISCHE TUIN- EN PARKAANLEG behorende tot de buitenplaats Meerssenhoven.
In structuur en in detail gaaf bewaarde kleinschalige 18de-eeuwse formele tuinaanleg gesitueerd op een smal langwerpig perceel. Het hoofdkenmerk van de aanleg wordt gevormd door de as van symmetrie die zowel de gebouwen rangschikt als de structuur van het park bepaalt. Achter het, binnen een rechthoekige omgrachting gelegen, huis loopt de met linden beplante hoofdlaan eindigend in een halfrond rondeel met heuveltje, waarop een theekoepel stond. De laan, die deels is verhard (door gras overwoekerd) en verder met gras is begroeid, wordt geflankeerd door grasparterres; deze kende oorspronkelijk een geometrische aanleg zoals de Tranchotkaart uit het begin van de 19de eeuw laat zien. Halverwege de laan is een kruising met een met linden beplante dwarsas. De kruising wordt gemarkeerd door een rondeel, oorspronkelijk met waterkom in het midden; de dwarsas markeert de overgang van de grasparterres naar het bosquet. Het bosquet wordt doorsneden door twee diagonale lanen die tezamen met de hoofdlaan een "patte d'oie" vormen; in het bosquet de resten van een doolhof met coniferen. Het bosquet wordt omsloten door een carré van lanen. De oostzijde van de aanleg wordt afgesloten door een rechte laan over de gehele lengte van het perceel; de westzijde door een houtwal.

HISTORIC GARDEN AND PARK LAYOUT belonging to the country estate Meerssenhoven.
Small-scale 18th-century formal garden layout preserved intact in structure and detail situated on a narrow elongated plot. The main characteristic of the layout is formed by the axis of symmetry which both arranges the buildings and determines the structure of the park. Behind the house, located within a rectangular moat, the main lane planted with linden trees runs ending in a semi-circular roundel with a small hill, on which a tea pavilion stood. The lane, which is partly surfaced (overgrown by grass) and further covered with grass, is flanked by grass parterres; these originally had a geometric layout as the Tranchotkaart from the early 19th century shows. Halfway along the lane is a crossing with a transverse axis planted with linden trees. The crossing is marked by a roundel, originally with a water basin in the middle; the transverse axis marks the transition from the grass parterres to the bosquet. The bosquet is intersected by two diagonal lanes which together with the main lane form a "patte d'oie"; in the bosquet the remains of a maze with conifers. The bosquet is enclosed by a carré of lanes. The east side of the layout is closed off by a straight lane over the entire length of the plot; the west side by a wood bank.
