Inleiding
Aan de hoofdstraat van het dorp gelegen voormalige MOLENAARSHUIS (molenaarswoonhuis bij de oorspronkelijk elders gelegen molen) uit ca. 1854 in Ambachtelijk-Traditionele stijl. Aan de achterzijde zijn de oorspronkelijke kleine vensters vervangen door grote samengestelde vensters.
Omschrijving
Eenlaags pand waarvan de gevels zijn opgetrokken uit handvorm bakstenen met tandlijst, sierankers en een gepleisterde plint. Het pand heeft een schilddak gedekt met oudhollandse pannen. In de voorgevel links het woongedeelte met een (vernieuwde) opgeklampte deur met bovenlicht met (vernieuwd) rooster waarin het jaartal 1854. Aan weerszijden twee dertigruits schuifvensters onder strek met opgeklampte luiken. Rechts een opgeklampte, getoogde vleugeldeur onder getoogde segmentboog. In de rechterzijgevel een (nieuwe) metalen deur. De linker zijgevel is blind. Beide zijgevels met steekankers. In de geheel gepleisterde achtergevel een licht, een opgeklampte deur en nieuwe samengestelde vensters. Op het dak een nieuwe dakkapel. In het interieur zijn in de hal nog aanwezig de plavuizen met geometrisch zwart-wit patroon. In dezelfde hal een paneeldeur waarvan het bovenste deel is beglaasd door middel van een ruitvormige roedeverdeling gevuld met gekleurd en gestraald glas.
Waardering
Het voormalige molenaarshuis is van algemeen belang. Het heeft cultuurhistorisch belang als bijzondere uitdrukking van de sociaaleconomische ontwikkeling op het Brabantse platteland en als voorbeeld van de typologische ontwikkeling van het dorpswoonhuis. Het heeft architectuurhistorisch belang door de uiterst eenvoudige variant op traditionele plattelandsmotieven. Het heeft ensemblewaarden als markant onderdeel van de kom van het kerkdorp die bestaat uit een reeks panden die in hun samenhang representatief zijn voor negentiende-eeuwse kerkdorpontwikkeling in Noord-Brabant. Het is tevens van belang wegens de architectonische gaafheid van het exterieur.

Former MILLER'S HOUSE (miller's dwelling house adjoining the originally elsewhere located mill) located on the main street of the village, dating from circa 1854 in Craftsman-Traditional style. On the rear side the original small windows have been replaced by large composite windows.
Description
One-storey building whose facades are constructed of hand-moulded bricks with tooth-line course, ornamental wall anchors and a plastered plinth. The building has a hipped roof covered with old Dutch tiles. In the front facade on the left the residential part with a (renewed) clamped door with fanlight with (renewed) grille in which the date 1854. On either side two thirteen-pane sash windows under band with clamped shutters. On the right a clamped, arched wing door under arched segmental arch. In the right side facade a (new) metal door. The left side facade is blind. Both side facades with wall anchors. In the completely plastered rear facade a light, a clamped door and new composite windows. On the roof a new roof dormer. In the interior, in the hall there remain the floor tiles with geometric black and white pattern. In the same hall a panel door of which the upper part is glazed by means of a diamond-shaped glazing bar arrangement filled with coloured and etched glass.
Valuation
The former miller's house is of general importance. It has cultural-historical importance as a particular expression of socio-economic development in the Brabant countryside and as an example of the typological development of the village dwelling house. It has architectural-historical importance through the extremely simple variant on traditional rural motifs. It has ensemble values as a distinctive component of the centre of the church village which consists of a series of buildings which in their relationship are representative of nineteenth-century church village development in North Brabant. It is also of importance because of the architectural intactness of its exterior.
