Inleiding
BOERDERIJ van het kortgeveltype, in 1858 gebouwd op het landgoed Wolfslaar in een mengeling van Traditioneel-Ambachtelijke vormen en elementen van de Chaletstijl.
Omschrijving
De boerderij heeft een bouwlaag met zolderverdieping onder een zadeldak voorzien van opnieuw verbeterde grijze Hollandse pannen tussen houten windveren en makelaar. Qua architectuur is de boerderij opvallend vanwege het grote dakoverstek met de drie korbelen aan beide lange zijgevels ter plaatse van het inspringende woongedeelte. Het opgaande werk bestaat uit handgevormde paarsrode baksteen in IJsselformaat gemetseld in kruisverband. Tussen de pilasters van de voorgevel is bovendien gele baksteen verwerkt.
De symmetrische voorgevel is drie traveeën breed. In het midden een driepaneels dubbele voordeur, die geflankeerd wordt door een zestienruits roedenvenster met rondboog waarin een bovenlicht met een geometrisch achtruits roedenverdeling. Op de verdieping boven de voordeur is het oorspronkelijke rondboogvenster vergroot. Verder in de gevel drie kleine rondvensters met eveneens een geometrische roedenverdeling. In de symmetrische achtergevel van het bedrijfsgedeelte op de verdieping een hooiluik met rondboog waarin een bovenlicht geflankeerd door een rondbogig stalraam. Ook in de zijgevels van het bedrijfsgedeelte muuropeningen met rond- of ellipsboog.
Ter ventilatie van het voorhuis zijn ronde gietijzeren sierroosters geplaatst in voor- en zijgevels.
De boerderij heeft in de oude keuken een grote boerenschouw en rechts onder het oorspronkelijke woongedeelte een grote ondiepe kelder. Sporenkap met vier eiken schaargebinten met korbeel en worm met daarop een kapgebint. De zoldervloer en kap liggen op eiken moer- en kinderbalken. De oorspronkelijke hooizolder in het bedrijfsgedeelte wordt gesteund door twee standjukken.
Waardering
De boerderij is van algemeen belang. Het gebouw heeft cultuurhistorische waarde als getuigenis van de ontwikkelingen en vernieuwingen in de landbouw en als voorbeeld van de typologische ontwikkeling van de Brabantse boerderij, tevens gerelateerd aan de geschiedenis van het landgoed Wolfslaar, reden voor het representatieve karakter. Het is van architectuurhistorisch belang vanwege de stijl. Het is in- en uitwendig gaaf bewaard gebleven.

FARMHOUSE of the short gable type, built in 1858 on the estate Wolfslaar in a mixture of Traditional Craft forms and elements of the Chalet style.
Description
The farmhouse has one storey with attic storey under a gabled roof provided with newly improved grey Dutch tiles between wooden wind vanes and ridge board. Architecturally the farmhouse is striking because of the large roof overhang with the three corbels on both long side facades at the location of the recessed residential part. The masonry consists of hand-moulded purple-red brickwork in Ijssel format laid in English bond. Between the pilasters of the front facade yellow brickwork is moreover incorporated.
The symmetrical front facade is three bays wide. In the centre a three-panel double front door, which is flanked by a sixteen-pane glazing bar window with round arch wherein a fanlight with geometric eight-pane glazing bar division. On the first floor above the front door the original round arch window has been enlarged. Further in the facade three small round windows also with geometric glazing bar division. In the symmetrical rear facade of the business section on the first floor a hayloft door with round arch wherein a fanlight flanked by a round arch stable window. Also in the side facades of the business section wall openings with round or elliptical arch.
For ventilation of the residential part round cast-iron decorative grilles are placed in front and side facades.
The farmhouse has in the old kitchen a large farmhouse fireplace and to the right under the original residential section a large shallow cellar. Rafter roof with four oak scissor trusses with corbel and worm with thereon a roof tie. The attic floor and roof rest on oak main and subsidiary beams. The original hayloft in the business section is supported by two struts.
Valuation
The farmhouse is of general importance. The building has cultural-historical value as evidence of developments and innovations in agriculture and as an example of the typological development of the Brabant farmhouse, also related to the history of the Wolfslaar estate, reason for its representative character. It is of architectural-historical importance because of the style. It has been preserved intact both inside and out.
