Inleiding
Woonhuis uit 1876 gebouwd voor de arbeider Woutherus de Jong.
Het huis staat met de voor- of noordgevel aan de Bolbergseweg op de hoek van de driesprong met Kloosterstraat en Gilzerweg in het oorspronkelijke gehucht Bolberg. Verbouwingen vonden plaats in 1951 en 1958. De eenvoudige aanbouw uit 1954 aan de achterkant van het huis behoort niet tot het monument.
Omschrijving
Het eenlaagse huis heeft een rieten zadeldak met schildeinde en aan de oostkant een topgevel met vlechtwerk.
Het opgaande werk bestaat uit rode handgevormde baksteen gemetseld in kruisverband met een cementen plint. Vier traveeën breede voorgevel waarin drie twintigruits- en in de zijgevel één vijftienruits schuifvenster met luiken.
Op het huis een sporenkap van rondhout, een gedeelte van de kap is onbeschoten. Schuur onder zadeldak gedekt met verbeterde Hollandse pannen.
Erf met liguster- en elzenhaag, walnoot, oude appel-, peren- en kersenboom.
Waardering
Het huis is van algemeen belang. Het heeft cultuurhistorische waarde als representant van de sociaal-historische ontwikkeling en als voorbeeld van de typologische ontwikkeling van de landarbeiderswoning. Het is gaaf bewaard gebleven en als vertegenwoordiger van het type langzamerhand zeldzaam geworden.

The house stands with its front or north facade on the Bolbergseweg at the corner of the intersection with Kloosterstraat and Gilzerweg in the original hamlet of Bolberg. Alterations took place in 1951 and 1958. The simple extension from 1954 at the rear of the house does not form part of the monument.
Description
The single-storey house has a thatched gabled roof with chimney end and on the east side a gable end with weaving.
The walls consist of red hand-made brick laid in English bond with a cement plinth. Four-bay wide front facade with three twenty-pane and in the side facade one fifteen-pane sash window with shutters.
On the house a roof truss structure of round timber, part of the roof is unboarded. Barn under gabled roof covered with improved Dutch pantiles.
Farmyard with privet and alder hedge, walnut, old apple, pear and cherry trees.
Valuation
The house is of general importance. It has cultural-historical value as a representative of socio-historical development and as an example of the typological development of the farmworker's dwelling. It has been preserved intact and as a representative of the type has gradually become rare.
