Inleiding
Het HERENHUIS is gesitueerd aan de westelijke zijde van de Ginnekenweg en werd gebouwd in 1863 in Eclectische stijl, in opdracht van P.H.J.G. Jonckheer. In 1905, en opnieuw in 1960, werd de tuin verkleind. In 1933 zijn tegen de achterzijde van het huis een extra kamer en een garage gebouwd. Het voormalige koetshuis, tegen de noordelijke zijde van het pand, is thans als kamer bij het huis getrokken.
Omschrijving
Het vrijstaande, blokvormige object heeft een globaal rechthoekige plattegrond en telt twee bouwlagen plus een kap. Het pand wordt gedekt door een afgeplat schilddak met oud-Hollandse pannen. Op het dak staan vier schoorstenen in carrévorm. Tegen de noordelijke zijde van het pand staat het voormalige koetshuis; tegen de zuidelijke zijde de als eenlaags uitgevoerde, nimmer voltooide entree. Deze zou oorspronkelijk over twee bouwlagen worden uitgevoerd.
Het pand is opgetrokken in baksteen. De gevels zijn voorzien van een pleisterlaag. De voorgevel heeft een strak symmetrische indeling met vier vensterassen, op de begane grond alle voorzien van getoogde en beluikte openslaande vleugeldeuren, op de etage getoogde zesruits schuifvensters. De gevel wordt afgesloten door een gestuct fries en een geprofileerde gootlijst.
De overige gevels hebben eveneens een symmetrische indeling met onder meer zesruits schuifvensters, halfvensters, openslaande deuren. In de ingangspartij een houten paneeldeur met gietijzeren deurrooster en bovenlicht. Het bovenliggende balkon is voorzien van een ijzeren hekwerk.
Op het dak van het woonhuis staat een kleine ijzeren klokkenstoel, waarin een luidklokje hangt.
In het interieur zijn onder meer van belang de indeling, met parallel aan de voorgevel gesitueerde gangen. In het gehele pand bevinden zich nog de oorspronkelijke stucplafonds en paneeldeuren. Het voormalige koetshuis telt één bouwlaag en wordt gedekt door een zadeldak met oud-Hollandse pannen. De inrijpoort van het voormalige koetshuis is vervangen door een venster.

The TOWN HOUSE is situated on the western side of Ginnekenweg and was built in 1863 in Eclectic style, commissioned by P.H.J.G. Jonckheer. In 1905, and again in 1960, the garden was reduced. In 1933 an extra room and a garage were built against the rear of the house. The former coach house, against the northern side of the building, is now incorporated with the house as a room.
Description
The detached, block-shaped structure has a roughly rectangular floor plan and has two storeys plus a roof space. The building is covered by a hipped roof with old-Dutch tiles. On the roof stand four square chimney stacks. Against the northern side of the building stands the former coach house; against the southern side the entrance executed as a single storey, never completed. This was originally to be executed over two storeys.
The building is built in brick. The facades are provided with a plaster layer. The front facade has a taut symmetrical arrangement with four window axes, on the ground floor all provided with arched and shuttered casement doors, on the storey arched six-pane sash windows. The gable is finished with a stuccoed frieze and a profiled gutter moulding.
The remaining facades likewise have a symmetrical arrangement with, among other things, six-pane sash windows, half-windows, casement doors. In the entrance section a wooden panelled door with cast-iron door grill and fanlight. The overlying balcony is provided with an iron railing.
On the roof of the residential house stands a small iron bell-cote, in which a small bell hangs.
In the interior the arrangement is among other things of importance, with corridors situated parallel to the front facade. Throughout the building the original stucco ceilings and panelled doors remain. The former coach house has one storey and is covered by a gabled roof with old-Dutch tiles. The entrance door of the former coach house has been replaced by a window.
