Het eerste pand van de rij, nr. 23 is drie lagen hoog en risaleert ten opzichte van de aansluitende rij tweelaags panden. De zijgevel grenst aan een smal pad. In de voorgevel zijn op de begane grond en verdieping samengestelde ramen aangebracht. Bij de tweelaagse panden is op de begane grond een erker aangebracht waarvan de betonnen afdekking als een luifel doorloopt tot boven de deur. Op de verdieping is een band vierruitrsramen zichtbaar.

De woningen zijn van algemeen belang. Ze hebben cultuurhistorisch belang als bijzondere uitdrukking van de sociaal-economische en stedenbouwkundige ontwikkeling van de industriestad, met name als voorbeeld van de ontwikkeling van nieuwe wijken in een vroege vorm van projectontwikkeling; ze zijn tevens van belang als voorbeeld van de typologische ontwikkeling van de rijtjeswoning.
