Waardering

The faience factory is of general importance due to its cultural-historical value as a representative example of a decorative ceramics factory from the beginning of the 20th century; the factory had great socio-economic significance for Gouda for decades.
The faience factory is of architectural-historical importance due to the simple brick architecture and the particular coherence between the studio facade on the Raam, the workshops with shed roofs and the clay store on the Vest.
The factory is reasonably intact in main form, material use and detailing.
The factory has ensemble value in coherence with the other components. The historical-spatial relationship of the factory with the waterways and exit routes of Gouda is moreover of urban planning value.
