Inleiding
Het KAASPAKHUIS met kantoor is gebouwd in 1919 in Ambachtelijk-Traditionele stijl naar ontwerp van architect P.D. Stuurman uit Waddinxveen. Het pakhuis bestond oorspronkelijk uit drie bouwlagen en is in 1949 met één laag verhoogd en van een nieuwe kap voorzien. Bovendien is toen een nieuwe voorgevel geplaatst.
Omschrijving
Het pakhuis is op een langgerechte rechthoekige plattegrond in vier bouwlagen opgetrokken onder een schilddak gedekt met gesmoorde kruispannen. Het pand staat op een hellend terrein, dat oploopt naar de straatzijde en heeft een souterrainniveau. De bakstenen gevels bestaan uit machinale steen die in kruisverband met knipvoeg opgemetseld zijn; rondom is een gecementeerde plint aangebracht, die zich naar achtertoe vergroot alwaar de plint de gehele hoogte van het kelderniveau beslaat.
De symmetrische voorgevel bestaat uit drie traveeën met in het midden de entree met daarboven een laadluik. Voorts zijn er gekoppelde schuiframen aan weerszijden van de entree en op de verdiepingen dubbele draairamen met roedeverdeling. De gevel wordt afgesloten met een houten kroonlijst.
De langgerekte linkerzijgevel (noordoost) is op elke bouwlaag voorzien van een lange reeks verticale vensters, waarvan het merendeel op de eerste laag met een luik uitgerust is; staafankers. Aan de noordzijde, op de eerste laag, bevinden zich drie schuiframen onder rollagen. In het midden bevindt zich een betonnen laadplatform met daarboven een betonnen luifel. De achter- en zuidwestgevel zijn overeenkomstig de noordoostgevel gedetailleerd. In het midden van de achtergevel (boven het souterrain-niveau) bevindt zich een deur met betonnen latei en stoep.
INTERIEUR
Het interieur van het kaaspakhuis heeft nagenoeg de originele indeling behouden. In het voorste gedeelte bevindt zich op de begane grond een kantoor. Voorts bevinden zich op alle lagen kaasstellingen.
Waardering
Het kaaspakhuis met kantoor is van algemeen belang vanwege de cultuur- en architectuurhistorische waarde.
Het pakhuis heeft cultuurhistorische waarde als uitdrukking van een functie en vanwege de rol die het speelt in de geschiedenis van de kaasproduktie te Gouda.
Het pakhuis met bijbehorend interieur heeft architectuur-historische waarde als representatief voorbeeld van een bouwtype en vanwege de historische indeling van het pakhuisgedeelte. In het kantoorgedeelte is met name het trappenhuis van belang.

Introduction
The CHEESE WAREHOUSE with office was built in 1919 in Artisanal-Traditional style to a design by architect P.D. Stuurman from Waddinxveen. The warehouse originally consisted of three storeys and was raised by one storey in 1949 and given a new roof. Moreover, a new front facade was installed at that time.
Description
The warehouse is built on an elongated rectangular ground plan in four storeys under a hipped roof covered with interlocking roof tiles. The building stands on sloping ground, which rises towards the street side and has a basement level. The brick facades consist of machine-made brick laid in English bond with cut joint; a cemented plinth runs around the building, which increases in size towards the rear, where the plinth covers the entire height of the basement level.
The symmetrical front facade consists of three bays with in the centre the entrance with above it a loading hatch. Furthermore, there are coupled sash windows on either side of the entrance and on the upper floors double casement windows with glazing bars. The facade is terminated with a wooden cornice.
The elongated left side facade (northeast) is provided on each storey with a long series of vertical windows, most of which on the first storey are equipped with a shutter; bar anchors. On the north side, on the first storey, there are three sash windows under roller shutters. In the middle there is a concrete loading platform with above it a concrete canopy. The rear and southwest facades are detailed in accordance with the northeast facade. In the middle of the rear facade (above the basement level) there is a door with concrete lintel and step.
INTERIOR
The interior of the cheese warehouse has retained nearly its original layout. In the front section there is an office on the ground floor. Furthermore, cheese racks are located on all storeys.

The cheese warehouse with office is of general interest because of its cultural and architectural-historical value.
