Inleiding.
WOONHUIS met bedrijfsgedeelte, gebouwd in 1881. Het huis vertoont kenmerken van het Eclecticisme. Het ligt op de hoek van de Pastoor van Akenstraat met de Julianastraat, met de voorgevel naar de Pastoor van Akenstraat.
Omschrijving.
Eénlaags woonhuis met grote haakse aanbouw. Het gebouw is opgetrokken uit handgevormde baksteen op een T-vormige plattegrond onder een wolfdak, gedekt met kruispannen.
De voorgevel telt vijf traveeën en heeft een gepleisterde plint en kroonlijst met consoles ter ondersteuning van de gootlijst. De gevel is symmetrisch van opzet en heeft een middenrisaliet en hoeklisenen. De voordeur is voorzien van een groot bovenlicht en heeft gietijzeren roosters. Aan weerszijden zijn getoogde zesruitsschuiframen in een geprofileerde gestucte omlijsting met kuif aangebracht. Het stoepje, voor de voorgevel is betegeld met tegels voorzien van ingekraste motieven en gelegd in dambordpatroon. Ter plekke van de voordeur ligt een hardstenen plaat.
Rechts een éénlaags aanbouw (van latere datum) onder zadeldak, gedekt met muldenpannen. Topgevels zijn voorzien van windveren. Deur en ramen zijn voorzien van luiken. De gootlijst rust op klossen.
De zijgevel heeft een gepleisterde plint.
In de linkerzijgevel bevindt zich vooraan een half schuifvenster met luiken. Erachter een zesruitsschuifraam, in de top nog twee zesruitsramen, alle met luiken. Een klein kelderlicht. Een gevelsteen met inscriptie "M.N. VAN WAGENBERG Jz/ 18 25-5 81" bevindt zich in het midden van deze zijgevel.
In de hoge haakse aanbouw is een bedrijfsruimte gevestigd. Het zadeldak is gedekt met kruispannen. De gevel heeft onder andere T-ramen. In de naar de straat gerichte gevel is een moderne garagepoort gezet. Oude elementen zijn onder meer een opgeklampte deur en een hardstenen stoepje.
De tuin die zich rondom het pand bevindt wordt van de straat gescheiden door een smeedijzeren hek. In de tuin onder andere een kastanjeboom en hulsthaag.
Waardering.
Het pand is van algemeen belang. Het heeft cultuurhistorisch belang als uitdrukking van een sociaal-economische en typologische ontwikkeling. Het heeft ensemblewaarde wegens de bijzondere betekenis van het object voor het aanzien van het dorp.

In the high right-angled extension a commercial space is established. The gabled roof is covered with pantiles. The facade features, amongst other things, T-windows. In the facade facing the street a modern garage door is fitted. Old elements include an attached door and a sandstone step.
The garden surrounding the building is separated from the street by a wrought-iron fence. In the garden amongst other things a chestnut tree and holly hedge.
Valuation.
The building is of general interest. It has cultural-historical importance as an expression of social-economic and typological development. It has group value due to the particular significance of the object for the appearance of the village.
