Inleiding.
Kunststenen HEILIG HARTBEELD, gemaakt in 1922 door het atelier van M. van Bokhoven & Jonkers. Het beeld is links voor de Rooms Katholieke kerk St. Jan Geboorte, op enige afstand van dit gebouw geplaatst.
Omschrijving.
Het beeld staat op een laag, rechthoekig gemetseld plateau bedekt met stoeptegels.
Het beeld zelf staat op een getrapte voet, op een vierkante sokkel. Op elke zijde is in een gegraveerde lijst tekst aangebracht. Op de hoeken zijn stervormige dekoratieve elementen in reliëf gemaakt. De teksten luiden als volgt: op de voorkant "UW RIJK/KOME", rechts "AANGEBODEN/DOOR DE/PAROCHIANEN", "1922" op de achterkant en links: "Z.E. HEER A. V.D. PAS/PASTOOR". De Christusfiguur met gespreide armen draagt een lang gewaad en cape. Op de borst is in reliëf een doorboord hart zichtbaar. Op de voet is de sculptuur gesigneerd "M. v. BOKHOVEN & JONKERS".
Waardering.

Artificial stone SACRED HEART STATUE, made in 1922 by the studio of M. van Bokhoven & Jonkers. The statue is placed to the left front of the Roman Catholic church St. Jan Geboorte, at some distance from this building.

The statue itself stands on a stepped base, on a square pedestal. On each side text has been incised in an engraved frame. On the corners star-shaped decorative elements have been made in relief. The texts read as follows: on the front "UW RIJK/KOME", on the right "AANGEBODEN/DOOR DE/PAROCHIANEN", "1922" on the back and on the left: "Z.E. HEER A. V.D. PAS/PASTOOR". The Christ figure with outstretched arms wears a long garment and cape. On the chest a pierced heart is visible in relief. On the base the sculpture is signed "M. v. BOKHOVEN & JONKERS".
