Inleiding.
KAPEL gebouwd in 1938. In 1968 is naar ontwerp van J. Elst een voorportaal toegevoegd. In dat jaar is ook het interieur gewijzigd.
Omschrijving.
Eénbeukige bakstenen kapel onder zadeldak waarvan de nok haaks op de straat staat. Het portaal is in het midden tegen de voorgevel gebouwd onder een gebogen dak. Aan de achterzijde bevindt zich een rechthoekige absis met lagere aanbouw onder verspringend schilddak. Aan de voorzijde is op het dak een dakruiter met galmgaten, bekroond door een spits geplaatst. De ingangspartij bestaat uit een brede rechthoekige deur met trap. Erboven is een smaller rondboograam en daar weer boven zijn drie smalle rondboogramen aangebracht. In de zijgevel bevinden zich eveneens rondboogramen. In het interieur zijn de wanden wit gestuct. Het plafond is verlaagd zodat nog slechts delen van de houten kapconstructie op stenen consoles zichtbaar zijn.
Waardering.
De kapel is van algemeen belang. Het gebouw heeft cultuurhistorisch belang als voorbeeld van de sociale en geestelijke ontwikkeling en als laat voorbeeld van de typologische ontwikkeling van het hofje. Het is van architectuurhistorisch belang als voorbeeld van de architectuur van de Delftse School. Het is gaaf bewaard gebleven. Het heeft ensemblewaarde als essentieel onderdeel van het geheel.

Single-aisle brick chapel under a gabled roof with the ridge perpendicular to the street. The vestibule is built in the centre against the front facade under a curved roof. At the rear is a rectangular apse with a lower extension under a stepped hipped roof. At the front, on the roof, is a roof turret with sound holes, crowned by a spire. The entrance arrangement consists of a broad rectangular door with a step. Above it is a narrower round-arched window, and above that are three narrow round-arched windows. The side gable also has round-arched windows. In the interior, the walls are white stuccoed. The ceiling has been lowered so that only parts of the wooden roof truss structure on stone corbels are now visible.
