Inleiding.
LEERLOOIERIJ, thans in gebruik als heemkundig museum. Het oudste gedeelte grenst aan de straat en dateert uit 1890. Daarachter is in 1943 een uitbreiding gerealiseerd.
Omschrijving.
Drielaagse looierij met nat- en drooghuis onder zadeldak waarvan de nok haaks op de straat staat. In de voorgevel bevinden zich in het midden enkele luiken. Aan weerszijden getoogde ramen met een metalen kozijn. In de top bevindt zich onder een luifel een katrol. De topgevel is voorzien van windveren en een makelaar. De zijgevels, boven de begane grond hebben houten geteerde planken met luiken. In de linkergevel zijn in het houten gedeelte enkele liggende ramen aangebracht, rechts bevinden zich later aangebrachte rechthoekige ramen. In het bakstenen gedeelte daaronder bevinden zich zesruitsramen met kathedraalglas. De tweelaagse verspringende bouwmassa van de achteraanbouw heeft een plat dak. In de zijgevels zijn metalen kozijnen met roedenverdeling geplaatst, erboven liggen betonnen lateien. In het interieur is de oorspronkelijke indeling bewaard gebleven. De begane grondvloer is betegeld met stoeptegels. Plaatselijk zijn de betonnen looikuipen bewaard gebleven. Houten steektrappen verbinden de verschillende verdiepingen met elkaar.
Waardering.

Three-storey tannery with wet and dry house under a gabled roof with the ridge perpendicular to the street. In the front facade in the middle are some shutters.
