WOONHUIS, gebouwd ca. 1920.
Omschrijving.
Eénlaags bakstenen pand op een rechthoekige plattegrond onder mansardedak gedekt met tuiles-du-Nord. In het metselwerk zijn steekankers aangebracht. In de voorgevel bevindt zich links, op de hoek,de deur, ernaast twee ramen. Boven deur en ramen zijn keperbogen aangebracht. In de top van de voorgevel zijn in het siermetselwerk twee ramen aangebracht. De linkerzijgevel heeft schuiframen onder keperbogen. In de achtergevel zijn onder de oorspronkelijke segmentbogen nieuwe ramen aangebracht. In de rechterzijgevel zijn grote wijzigingen aangebracht. Op de begane grond bevinden zich nieuwe terrasdeuren en de gevel is opgemetseld met een nieuwe dakkapel.
De woning is gemoderniseerd. In het interieur is de ruimte op diverse plaatsen doorgebroken, in de zijgevel is een nieuw raam gemaakt. Waardering.
Het woonhuis is van algemeen belang. Het heeft cultuurhistorisch belang als uitdrukking van de sociaal-economische ontwikkeling van de leerlooierij en de typologische ontwikkeling van looierij en looierswoning. Description.
Single-storey brick building on a rectangular ground plan under mansard roof covered with tuiles-du-Nord. Ornamental wall anchors are incorporated in the masonry. In the front elevation the door is on the left, at the corner, next to it two windows. Above the door and windows herringbone arches are constructed. In the apex of the front elevation two windows are incorporated in the decorative brickwork. The left side elevation has sash windows under herringbone arches. In the rear elevation new windows have been placed under the original segmental arches. In the right side elevation major alterations have been made. On the ground floor new terrace doors are located and the elevation has been built up with a new roof dormer.
The dwelling has been modernised. In the interior the space has been opened up in various places, in the side elevation a new window has been made.
Valuation.
The residential house is of general importance. It has cultural-historical importance as an expression of the socio-economic development of leather-tanning and the typological development of tannery and tanner's dwelling. It is of importance as a well-preserved and rare example of the development from the small domestic tannery to the larger factory complexes.
