WOONBLOKJE op de hoek van de 4e Mussenstraat en de Vijverlaan dat bestaat uit twee woningen onder één kap. De rechter woning is met de ingangspartij georiënteerd op de 4e Mussenstraat, de linker op de Vijverlaan. De anderhalflaags woningen op samengesteld grondplan zijn opgetrokken in rode baksteen (kruisverband) en worden afgedekt door een schilddak met aankappingen ter plaatse van topgevels in de voor- en zijgevels. De topgevels zijn voorzien van windveren. Het dak is belegd met rode verbeterde Hollandse pannen en watert af via houten bakgoten op gesneden klossen. De gemeenschappelijke schoorsteen op de nok wordt afgesloten door enkele uitgemetselde lagen baksteen. Het trasraam wordt, evenals alle muuropeningen, afgesloten door een rollaag. De gevel aan de Vijverlaan bezit ter plaatse van de rechter woning een rechthoekig kelderlicht in het trasraam, daarboven een rechthoekig enkelruits trappenhuisvenster en links een groot rechthoekig venster met drie gekoppelde schuiframen (oorspronkelijk meerruits schuivende onder- en bovenramen). De linker woning heeft in de gevel aan de Vijverlaan een groot rechthoekig venster met twee gekoppelde schuiframen en een terugliggende ingangspartij met afgeschuinde zijde en afsluitende houten latei met geknipte loodslabben. Dit ondiepe portiek bezit een opgeklampte deur met smeedijzeren beslag, een klein rechthoekig venster en in de afgeschuinde zijde een smal venster met draaiende onderraam en klappend bovenlicht. Beide topgevels zijn voorzien van een smalle verticale opening waarin een ijzeren rooster. Tussen de topgevels is op de scheiding van beide woningen een platgedekte houten dakkapel geplaatst (twee stolpramen).
De gevel aan de 4e Mussenstraat bezit onder een doorgaand dakschild de ingangspartij van de rechter woning. Dit ondiepe portiek wordt afgesloten door een houten latei met geknipte loodslabben. De latei rust op een muurdam en op een bewerkte houten hoekstijl. In het portiek bevindt zich een opgeklampte deur, twee flankerende vierkante vensters en een verhoogd gemetseld stoepje. Het teruggelegen gedeelte van de gevel naast het portiek bezit in de eerste bouwlaag een schuifraam en in de geveltop een klapraam.
De zijgevel van de linker woning heeft in het gedeelte onder doorgetrokken dakschild een rechthoekig trappenhuisvenster, en in het teruggelegen gedeelte een schuifraam in de eerste bouwlaag en een klapraam in de geveltop.
De smalle beuken van beide woningen zijn aan de achterzijde uitgebouwd onder doorgetrokken dakschild. In deze uitbouwen zijn de achter-ingangen geplaatst. Tussen de uitbouwen is de achtergevel over twee bouwlagen opgetrokken. ROW OF DWELLINGS on the corner of the 4e Mussenstraat and the Vijverlaan consisting of two houses under one roof. The right house is oriented with the entrance section on the 4e Mussenstraat, the left on the Vijverlaan. The one-and-a-half-storey houses on a complex ground plan are constructed in red brick (cross-bond) and are covered by a hipped roof with hips at the location of top gables in the front and side facades. The top gables are provided with wind braces. The roof is laid with red improved Dutch tiles and drains via wooden gutters on cut brackets. The shared chimney on the ridge is finished with several courses of brick. The stone frame window is, like all wall openings, closed by a brick course. The facade on the Vijverlaan has at the location of the right house a rectangular basement light in the stone frame, above it a rectangular single-pane stairwell window and on the left a large rectangular window with three coupled sash windows (originally multi-pane sliding lower and upper frames). The left house has in the facade on the Vijverlaan a large rectangular window with two coupled sash windows and a recessed entrance section with sloped side and closing wooden lintel with cut lead slabs. This shallow portico has a clamped door with wrought-iron fittings, a small rectangular window and in the sloped side a narrow window with casement lower pane and hinged upper light.
