Omschrijving
De hoge schuur heeft een L-vormige plattegrond en bezit een schilddak met muldenpannen. De zijde naar de boerderij toe is grotendeels open en rust op het houten skelet. De gevel hier achter is, na de knik die de L-vorm inluidt, heel laag en uitgevoerd in hout. De straatzijde heeft een begane grond van handvorm baksteen, daarboven is het houten skelet opgevuld met riet, evenals de gevel aan de overzijde. In het u-vormige baksteen gedeelte met rechte steekankers bevindt zich een rechte staldeur in de gevel bij de boerderij. Aan de straatzijde bevinden zich drie getoogde ompleisterde ramen. Deze zijn deels dichtgemetseld en bezitten in het bovendeel achtruits ijzeren raampjes. Er is ook zo'n venster in het geveldeel links om de hoek.
Waardering
De schuur is van algemeen belang. Description
The tall barn has an L-shaped floor plan and possesses a hipped roof with curved tiles. The side facing the farmhouse is largely open and rests on a wooden skeleton. The gable behind it, after the angle that introduces the L-shape, is very low and executed in wood. The street side has a ground storey of handmade brick, above it the wooden skeleton is filled with reed, as is the gable on the opposite side. In the U-shaped brick section with straight stretcher bond anchors there is a straight stable door in the gable by the farmhouse. On the street side there are three arched plastered windows. These are partly bricked up and possess in the upper part small iron casement windows. There is also such a window in the gable section to the left around the corner.
Valuation
The barn is of general importance. The building has cultural-historical significance as an example of the socio-economic development of agriculture in the Meuse region and as an example of the typological development of the gentleman farmer's house.
