Inleiding
De Duitse kanon KAZEMAT uit 1943, met een afmeting van ca. 10 x 15 m, is gelegen ten noorden van Kazemat II aan het begin van de havendam en is gericht op zee. De kazemat was bestemd om kanonvuur tot op en achter de Friese kust te doen vallen, ter verdediging van de havendam bij een mogelijke landing (Scharterstand für Land- und Sturmabwehrgeschütze ohne Nebenräume). De kazemat is grotendeels aangeaard en heeft aan de noordzijde het schietgat dat tegenwoordig is dichtgemetseld. De ingang, die tegenwoordig eveneens is dichtgemetseld, is aan de zuidzijde waar een achthoekig plateau voor geschut in open opstelling is gesitueerd. Rechts naast de ingang zit een rond gat in de wand voor de afvoer van hulzen.
De hoeken van de kazemat zijn afgerond en in het beton zijn "camouflage-kuiltjes" aangebracht. De kazemat is groen geschilderd met gele lijnen.
Waardering
De Duitse Kazemat aan de noordoostzijde van de Stelling van Kornwerderzand is van algemeen cultuurhistorisch, krijgshistorisch en architectuurhistorisch belang:

Description
Introduction
The German cannon CASEMATE from 1943, with dimensions of approximately 10 x 15 m, is located to the north of Casemate II at the beginning of the harbour dam and is directed towards the sea. The casemate was intended to direct cannon fire onto and beyond the Frisian coast, in defence of the harbour dam in the event of a possible landing (Scharterstand für Land- und Sturmabwehrgeschütze ohne Nebenräume). The casemate is largely earthed and has on the north side the firing aperture which is currently bricked up. The entrance, which is also currently bricked up, is on the south side where an octagonal platform for open-mounted gun is situated. To the right of the entrance is a round hole in the wall for the evacuation of cartridge cases.
The corners of the casemate are rounded and "camouflage pits" have been made in the concrete. The casemate is painted green with yellow lines.
Valuation
The German casemate on the north-east side of the Stelling van Kornwerderzand is of general cultural-historical, military-historical and architectural-historical importance:
