Omschrijving
Blokvormig pand met twee hoge bouwlagen in drie traveeën, waarvan de buitenste breder zijn dan de middelste. De zijtraveeën hebben een natuurstenen plint met verdiepte vakken, waarop vier geblokte pilasters staan met gebombeerde velden. De verdiepingen worden van elkaar gescheiden door een cordonlijst met verdiepte vakken. De bovenverdieping wordt geleed door vier pilasters met composietkapitelen, waarop leeuwenkoppen, die een forse draperie in de bek dragen. Het fries, dat ter hoogte van de pilasters is verkropt, heeft verdiepte vakken. De gootlijst is geprofileerd. Daarboven zat een thans verwijderde attiek. De zijtraveeën hebben grote drielingschoolvensters, die d.m.v. twee doorgaande stijlen in drie zesruitsramen zijn onderverdeeld.Voor de stijlen zijn gietijzeren zuiltjes geplaatst. Daarboven zitten natuurstenen, geblokte segmentbogen, waarvan de middelste blok verhoogd is. De waterlijst is ter hoogte van die blokken verkropt. De segmentboogvelden zijn gevuld met gietijzeren ornamenten, die ventilatieopeningen verbergen. De smallere middentravee bevat op de begane grond een diepe portiek onder een segmentboog, waarboven zich een palmetmotief bevindt. De dubbele voordeur heeft gietijzeren roosters en een naald in de vorm van een gecanneleerde halfzuil op een basement en een composiet kapiteel. Voor het overige hebben de deuren panelen. Boven de deuren zit een rechthoekig bovenlicht met centraal een ronde lantaarn, die gedragen wordt door een palmetconsole en bekroond wordt door een gietijzeren opzetstuk, dat de ontluchting verbergt. Op de verdieping heeft de middelste travee een tweelingversie van de overige vensters. De achtergevel is een vereenvoudigde, geheel in metselwerk uitgevoerde versie van de voorgevel. Op de begane grond is een uitbouw, die oorspronkelijk vier toiletten bevatte.

Schoolgebouw van architectuurhistorisch en cultuurhistorisch belang:

Block-shaped building with two high storeys in three bays, of which the outer bays are wider than the middle bay. The side bays have a natural stone plinth with recessed panels, on which four rusticated pilasters stand with convex fields. The storeys are separated from each other by a cordon moulding with recessed panels. The upper storey is articulated by four pilasters with Composite capitals, bearing lion heads that carry heavy drapery in their mouths. The frieze, which is broken at the height of the pilasters, has recessed panels. The gutter moulding is moulded. Above it was formerly an attic, now removed. The side bays have large triple-light schoolhouse windows, which by means of two continuous mullions are subdivided into three six-pane windows. Cast-iron small columns are placed in front of the mullions. Above them sit natural stone, rusticated segmental arches, of which the middle block is raised. The drip moulding is broken at the height of those blocks. The segmental arch fields are filled with cast-iron ornaments, which conceal ventilation openings. The narrower middle bay contains on the ground floor a deep portico beneath a segmental arch, above which is a palmette motif. The double front door has cast-iron grilles and a fanlight in the form of a fluted half-column on a base and a Composite capital. Otherwise the doors have panels. Above the doors sits a rectangular fanlight with centrally a round lantern, which is supported by a palmette console and crowned by a cast-iron ornament that conceals ventilation. On the storey above, the middle bay has a twin version of the other windows. The rear facade is a simplified version executed entirely in brickwork of the front facade. On the ground floor is an extension, which originally contained four toilets.
