De op het huis afgestemde TUINAANLEG vormt een goed voorbeeld van de 'gemengde' tuinstijl met invloeden van de 'rechtlijnige' aanleg, die kenmerkend is voor het werk van L.A. Springer vanaf 1907. Hierbij is sprake is van romantische elementen met slingerende gazons en formele elementen als rechtlijnige paden met een duidelijke zichtas, voorzien van renaissance-achtige vierkante bloemvakken. L.A. Springer was onder andere als zelfstandig tuinarchitect gevestigd in Haarlem. Springer werd vooral beïnvloed door de werken van Edouard André en Gustav Meyer. Naast vele ontwerpen van openbare parken bestaat het oeuvre van Springer uit ontwerpen van een groot aantal particuliere tuinen zoals de aanleg rond het nabijgelegen Haveke tussen 1916 en 1917.
Vanaf de Schurinklaan loopt een oprijlaan parallel aan de Bargeweg, aan de noordzijde geflankeerd door een weiland, naar het hoofdgeboouw. Voor het landhuis bevindt zich een voorpleintje met grindpad, in het midden voorzien van een rond perk met lage haag. Ten noorden van het voorplein loopt een slingerpad door een aangeplant bosperceel, waarin zich oorspronkelijk een gastenverblijf bevond. Thans bevinden zich hier recente kassen. Achter het hoofdgebouw heeft de tuin een formeel aangelegd deel met een lange zichtas op het oosten. Het landhuis is aan de achterzijde geplaatst op een talud, zodat de tuin ten opzichte van het landhuis is verlaagd. Hierdoor ontstaat een betere zichtas vanuit het hoofdgebouw. Het landhuis is aan de rechter- en achterzijde toegankelijk middels gemetselde trappen. De tuinaanleg kent nauwelijks of geen kunstmatige hoogteverschillen. Op het huidige gazon bevonden zich oorspronkelijk rozenperken. Om het formeel aangelegde tuingedeelte bevinden zich beboste percelen, die worden doorsneden met slingerpaden. In het perceel aan de oostzijde bevindt zich het thans nog gaaf bewaarde (deels gerestaureerde) speelhuisje. Achter een groot open perceel is de meest oostelijke zijde van de tuin voorzien van perken en bospercelen met slingerpaden. Hierin bevinden zich onder andere inlandse eiken, kastanjebomen, acacia's en verschillende soorten beplanting. De tuinmanswoning aan de zuidoostzijde wordt van het park gescheiden door een haag.

The GARDEN LAYOUT adapted to the house forms a good example of the 'mixed' garden style with influences of the 'rectilinear' layout, which is characteristic of the work of L.A.
