Inleiding
VILLA met aangebouwd KOETSHUIS gebouwd in 1891 in een Eclectische stijl. Onlangs heeft een algehele verbouwing plaatsgevonden waarbij het woonhuis en koetshuis intern zijn verbouwd en de gevels van het koetshuis opnieuw zijn ingedeeld.
Het pand is zeer beeldbepalend gelegen op een deels omhaagd ruim perceel op de hoek van de Groninger Straatweg en de Stationsstraat. Middels twee fronten presenteert het pand zich naar beide straten en vormt hierdoor een zeer fraaie entree naar het dorp Grijpskerk. Het perceel wordt van de openbare weg gescheiden door een eenvoudig uit omstreeks 1891 stammend ijzeren HEK op een gemetseld muurtje, met één beweegbaar deel. In de diepe tuin aan de Stationsstraat staan twee monumentale kastanjebomen.
Omschrijving
VILLA met aangebouwd KOETSHUIS.
De één verdieping hoge VILLA op rechthoekige plattegrond heeft witgepleisterde gevels op een gepleisterd trasraam en wordt gedekt door een afgeplat schilddak met leidekking bekroond met een ijzeren crête; houten kroonlijst; op het noordelijk dakvlak een zinken koekoek bekroond met een vaas waarin een ovaalvormig venster; zuidzijde niet-originele dakkapel; aangesmeerde schoorsteen. De gevels worden geleed door getoogde H-vensters met een gepleisterde omlijsting waaronder een naar voren springend gepleisterd vlak; gepleisterde hoekpilasters met blokmotieven met in het kapiteel een guirlande.
De entree in halfrond portiek bevindt zich centraal in de westgevel (front Stationsstraat) en bestaat uit twee houten paneeldeuren waarin gietijzeren panelen met halfrond bovenlicht; drie treden hoge hardstenen stoep; gekleurde tegelvloer. Het portiek wordt omlijst met gepleisterde pilasters; aan weerszijden in het portiek een gepleisterde halfronde nis. Boven de entree een halsgevel met klauwstukken bekroond met balvormige decoraties; dubbele houten paneeldeuren met glas en getoogd bovenlicht, het balkon is echter verdwenen. Aan weerszijden van de entree twee H-vensters.
De halsgevel met klauwstukken, die wordt omlijst met pilasters en bekroond met een fronton waarin het jaartal 1891, bevindt zich links van de noordgevel (front Groninger Straatweg). In deze halsgevel twee H-vensters waarboven een T-venster waarvoor een gepleisterde nepbalustrade. Rechts van de halsgevel twee H-vensters.
In de oostgevel twee H-vensters, een gepleisterde getoogde nis en dubbele houten paneeldeuren waarin gietijzeren panelen met getoogd bovenlicht waarvoor een niet-originele stoep.
Centraal in de zuidgevel dubbele houten paneeldeuren, met een gepleisterde omlijsting, waarin glas en met getoogd bovenlicht; rechts een gepleisterde pilaster met blokmotieven. Links van de entree twee H-vensters en rechts twee T-vensters. Aan deze zijde is het koetshuis aangebouwd.
Het INTERIEUR komt wegens verbouw niet voor bescherming van rijkswege in aanmerking.
Het aangebouwde KOETSHUIS heeft witgepleisterde gevels en wordt gedekt door een zadeldak waarop grijze kruispannen. De gevelindeling is niet oorspronkelijk.

VILLA with adjoining CARRIAGE HOUSE built in 1891 in an Eclectic style. Recently a complete renovation has taken place whereby the residential building and carriage house have been internally renovated and the facades of the carriage house have been redesigned.
The property is very prominent in its location on a partly hedged generous plot on the corner of the Groninger Straatweg and the Stationsstraat. By means of two fronts the property presents itself towards both streets and thereby forms a very fine entrance to the village of Grijpskerk. The plot is separated from the public road by a simple iron GATE from circa 1891 on a brick wall, with one moveable section. In the deep garden on the Stationsstraat two monumental chestnut trees stand.
Description
VILLA with adjoining CARRIAGE HOUSE.
The single-storey VILLA on a rectangular plan has whiteplastered facades on a plastered ashlar base and is covered by a hipped roof with lead roofing topped with an iron crête; wooden cornice; on the north roof plane a zinc cuckoo clock topped with a vase containing an oval window; south side non-original roof dormer; struck chimney. The facades are articulated by arched cross windows with a plastered frame underneath which a forward-projecting plastered panel; plastered corner pilasters with block motifs with a garland in the capital.
The entrance in a semi-circular portico is situated centrally in the west facade (front Stationsstraat) and consists of two wooden panel doors in which are cast iron panels with semi-circular fanlight; steps of hardstone three steps high; coloured tile floor. The portico is framed with plastered pilasters; on either side in the portico a plastered semi-circular niche. Above the entrance a neck gable with claw brackets topped with ball-shaped decorations; double wooden panel doors with glass and arched fanlight, although the balcony has disappeared. On either side of the entrance two cross windows.
