Inleiding
ARBEIDERSWONING met aangebouwde schuur gebouwd omstreeks 1900, deel uitmakend van een rijtje van vijf arbeiderswoningen in het gehucht Nooitgedacht. De arbeiders werkten op de in de buurt gelegen boerderijen in de in 1840 ingedijkte Oostpolder. Deze woning is de meest gave van de vijf. In 1967 vond een verbouwing plaats waarbij de achtergevel deels opnieuw is opgetrokken. Tevens werd de aangebouwde schuur zodanig verbouwd dat hij buiten de rijksbescherming valt.
Het Ambachtelijk-traditioneel vormgegeven pand is evenwijdig gelegen aan de weg op een ruime kavel grond, die aan weerszijden wordt gemarkeerd door een heg en aan voor- en achterzijde door een sloot. Langs de sloot aan de achterzijde staat een rij knotwilgen.
Omschrijving
ARBEIDERSWONING met één krimp opgetrokken in een roodbruine baksteen op een trasraam van donkere klinkers. Het wolfdak, dat gedekt is met een cementpan, heeft een gemetselde topschoorsteen, een houten piron, strakke windveren en een goot op houten klampen. De gevels (met uitzondering van de achtergevel) worden geleed door T-vensters onder een rollaag. De voorgevel (zuidwest) heeft twee T-vensters en twee zaadvensters met rollaag. De zuidoost gevel heeft twee T-vensters en een houten deur met deurlicht onder een tweeruits bovenlicht met rollaag; in de krimp drie kleinere T-vensters. De detaillering van de deels nieuw opgetrokken achtergevel (noordoost) is niet origineel. Aan de noordwest gevel is de niet van rijkswege beschermde schuur aangebouwd.
Het INTERIEUR heeft een nog bijna geheel oorspronkelijke indeling. Van belang zijn onder meer de bedsteden-kastenwand, de houten binnendeuren en de balkenplafonds.

WORKER'S COTTAGE with attached barn built circa 1900, forming part of a row of five workers' cottages in the hamlet of Nooitgedacht. The workers were employed on nearby farms in the Oostpolder, which was diked in 1840. This cottage is the best preserved of the five. In 1967 a renovation took place during which the rear façade was partially rebuilt. The attached barn was also renovated in such a way that it falls outside national protection.
The Craft-traditional designed building is situated parallel to the road on a spacious plot of land, which is marked on both sides by a hedge and on front and rear sides by a ditch. Along the ditch on the rear side stands a row of pollard willows.
Description
WORKER'S COTTAGE built in one crimp constructed in a reddish-brown brick on a lime mortar bed of dark clinker. The half-hipped roof, which is covered with a cement pan, has a mortared ridge chimney, a wooden weathervane, tight wind braces and a gutter on wooden cramps. The façades (with the exception of the rear façade) are articulated by T-windows under a roll moulding. The front façade (southwest) has two T-windows and two seed windows with roll moulding. The southeast façade has two T-windows and a wooden door with door light under a two-pane fanlight with roll moulding; in the crimp three smaller T-windows. The detailing of the partly newly rebuilt rear façade (northeast) is not original. On the northwest façade the barn, which is not nationally protected, is attached.
The INTERIOR still has an almost completely original layout. Of importance are among others the bed-cupboard wall, the wooden interior doors and the exposed beam ceilings.
