Omschrijving
KAASPAKHUIS van twee bouwlagen en een zolderverdieping onder een gebroken zadeldak met gesmoorde kruispannen. De nokrichting van het dak staat loodrecht op de straat. De gevels zijn opgetrokken in rode baksteen met een gepleisterde plint, speklagen en geprofileerde cordonlijsten. De eindgevels zijn uitgevoerd als tuitgevels met iets uitgemetselde aanzetten en een natuurstenen daklijst met een siersteen op de tuit. De regelmatige indeling van de gevel wordt bepaald door zesruits openslaande vensters onder strekken met gepleisterde aanzet- en sluitstenen.
Voorgevel (west) met drie vensterassen en in de geveltop een roosvenster met lekdorpeltje. Op de begane grond in het midden van de voorgevel een deur. In de zijgevel (zuid) op begane grond en verdieping een reeks vensters (zes assen) als in de voorgevel. Op de begane grond een dubbele deur.
De achtergevel (oost) grenst direct aan de Oude Rijn en heeft dezelfde gevelindeling als de voorgevel met op de begane grond en in de middenas deurpartijen. Op de tuit een pinakeltje.

Het kaaspakhuis is van algemeen belang vanwege de cultuurhistorische waarde als beelddrager van de kaasproductie en -handel, niet alleen regionaal maar ook nationaal gezien een economische ontwikkeling van grote betekenis.
Het kaaspakhuis is van algemeen belang vanwege de architectuurhistorische waarde wegens de herkenbare typologie en de kenmerkende Neo-Hollandse Renaissancestijl, in overeenstemming met de bouwstijl van het huis.

CHEESE WAREHOUSE of two storeys and an attic storey under a broken gabled roof with hipped rafters. The roof ridge runs perpendicular to the street. The facades are constructed in red brick with a plastered plinth, decorative brickwork courses and moulded cornices. The end facades are executed as spout gables with slightly projecting bases and a natural stone roof edge with an ornamental stone on the spout. The regular layout of the facade is determined by six-pane casement windows under stone brackets with plastered setting and closing stones.
Front facade (west) with three window axes and in the gable top a round window with a drip moulding. On the ground floor in the centre of the front facade a door. In the side facade (south) on ground floor and first storey a series of windows (six axes) as in the front facade. On the ground floor a double door.
The rear facade (east) directly adjoins the Oude Rijn and has the same facade layout as the front facade with doorways on the ground floor in the central axis. On the spout a small pinnacle.
