WOONHUIS van het type dijkwoning uit 1900 in Traditioneel-Ambachtelijke stijl.
Aan de rechtergevel een houten KOETSHUIS in Chaletstijl. Het pand staat direkt aan de Kinderdijk, aan de achterzijde bevindt zich een voormalige sloepenloods.
Omschrijving
Woonhuis met een verhoogd middendeel over de gehele diepte van het pand; dit gedeelte heeft een ronde kap, voor het overige schilddaken. In de dakkap enkele simpele dakraampjes. De woning is opgetrokken in rode baksteen met gestucte detaillering, heeft geprofileerde houten T-vensters met getoogde bovenlichten en met hardstenen dorpels. Pand heeft geprofileerde houten daklijsten en gestucte hoekpilasters.
Centraal in de symmetrische, vijfassige voorgevel de hoofdas geaccentueerd door gecannuleerde lisenen en het, boven de daklijst uitstekende, middendeel (dakkapel) beëindigd door een geprofileerde, getoogde lijst; de zijkanten van het middendeel zijn witgepleisterd. In de hoofdas is de voordeur met getoogd bovenlicht, daarboven een vijfzijdig balkonnetje met houten spijlen rustend op een houten console. Hieraan een T-venster met getoogd bovenlicht en aan weerszijden gecannuleerde hoeklisenen. Aan weerszijden van de voordeur twee T-ramen.
Aan de linkerzijgevel een houten serre met deuren naar het woonvertrek en een ijzeren trapje naar de achtertuin. De balustrade van de serre heeft gietijzeren spijlen, het platte dak van de serre rust op gecannuleerde houten zuilen. De voorste helft van de serre is dichtgezet met glazen wanden.
De symmetrische achtergevel is vrijwel identiek aan de voorgevel. Het representatieve karakter wordt versterkt door de hoofdas en de dubbele trap met bordes bij de centraal geplaatste entreedeur. Aan weerszijden van de deur twee T-vensters die in tegenstelling tot de voorgevel binnen één kozijn zijn gevat; in het midden daarvan een korintisch houten zuiltje. Onder de ingangspartij een deur naar het souterrain; deze heeft gestucte gevels.
Tegen de rechterzijgevel een houten koetshuis met uitgesneden hoofdgestel en geprofileerde daklijsten. Overstekend zadeldak met nokrichting haaks op de dijk. De gevels van houten vakwerk, met hier en daar diagonale schoren. Vakken betimmerd met horizontaal of vertikaal geplaatste schroten. Meerruitsvensters.
INTERIEUR De plattegrond van het woonhuis is nagenoeg gaaf; met aan weerszijden van de centrale marmeren gang meerdere vertrekken. Diverse fraaie stucplafonds met krulmotieven en fruitstukken. Houten vloeren en in de voorkamer een zwarte marmeren schouw met diamantkoppen en voluten. In de keuken een betegelde schouw. Boven een zinken wasbak met houten betimmering en in het trappenhuis een houten toog met voluutvormige consoles. In de kelder een troggewelf en boogmetselwerk.

Het woonhuis met koetshuis is van algemeen belang vanwege cultuurhistorische waarde als typologisch voorbeeld van een dijkwoning met karakteristieke onderverdieping voortkomend uit de situering aan de dijk met bijbehorend representatief koetshuis.

Residence with a raised central section over the full depth of the property; this section has a round roof, for the rest hipped roofs. In the roof truss a few simple roof windows. The dwelling is constructed in red brick with stuccoed detailing, has moulded wooden T-windows with arched fanlights and with sandstone sills. Property has moulded wooden cornices and stuccoed corner pilasters.
Central in the symmetrical, five-bay front facade the main axis is accentuated by fluted pilasters and the, projecting above the cornice, central section (roof gable) terminated by a moulded, arched cornice; the sides of the central section are whitewashed. In the main axis is the front door with arched fanlight, above it a five-sided small balcony with wooden balusters resting on a wooden console. Adjacent to it a T-window with arched fanlight and on either side fluted corner pilasters. On either side of the front door two T-windows.
On the left side gable a wooden conservatory with doors to the living room and an iron staircase to the back garden. The balustrade of the conservatory has cast-iron balusters, the flat roof of the conservatory rests on fluted wooden columns. The front half of the conservatory is sealed with glazed walls.
The symmetrical rear facade is virtually identical to the front facade. The representative character is reinforced by the main axis and the double staircase with landing at the centrally placed entrance door.
