Inleiding
Aan de dijk van de Rotte gelegen BOERDERIJ in Ambachtelijk Traditionele stijl oorspronkelijk van rond 1800. Tegen de boerderij aangebouwd aan de noordoostelijke zijde bevindt zich een stal uit 1884. Uit die periode dateert ook het bedrijfsgedeelte van de boerderij. Aan de andere kant bevindt zich een blokvormige aanbouw van recenter datum. Aan de achterzijde loopt een afwateringssloot. Op het erf staan vijf leilindes. De landschappelijke situering aan de Rotte wordt ernstig bedreigd door de tegenover gelegen Rotterdamse flatbebouwing. De boerderij maakt onderdeel uit van een complex waartoe ook het toegangshek behoort.
N.B. de blokvormige latere aanbouw aan de zuidelijke (linker) zijde is voor bescherming van ondergeschikt belang.
Omschrijving
Op een rechthoekige plattegrond in geel IJsselstenen kruisverband opgetrokken boerderij van het hallehuistype onder een afgewolfd zadeldak, met rietdekking. Rondom loopt een gepleisterde plint. De eveneens op een rechthoekige plattegrond opgetrokken aangebouwde schuur heeft een met golfplaten gedekt zadeldak.
De op de Rotte uitkijkende voorzijde van de boerderij, gedeeltelijk onderkelderd, heeft links twee schuiframen en rechts twee vierruitsramen, verder drie kelderramen met diefijzers en in de top twee kiepramen onder anderhalfsteens strekken; vlechtingen in de top. De zuidelijke gevel is gepleisterd met schijnvoegen en heeft, links van de recente aanbouw, twee schuiframen met tweeruits bovenlicht en een schuifraam met drieruits bovenlicht, met persiennes. Verder een los twee- en een los drieruits raam.
In het eind 19de-eeuwse bedrijfsgedeelte (achterhuis) vier stalramen met facetroedeverdeling, twee opgeklampte deuren en muurankers. Aan de onderzijde bevindt zich een goot van klinkers.
De achtergevel heeft een nieuw houten beschot, een vierruitsvenster, drie deuren, waarvan een met bovenlicht, hooiluiken en twee zesruitsvensters.
De noordelijke zijde, waartegen in 1884 een stal is aangebouwd, heeft vijf stalramen met facetroedeverdeling, een achtruits stolpraam, een nieuwe deur, een nieuw raam, twee vierruits vensters, vier kelderramen met diefijzers en één luik.
De stal met rondomlopende plint is slechts rudimentair verbonden met de boerderij. Tussen beide bouwlichamen bevindt zich een onoverdekte binnenstraat met keien, aan één zijde gesloten door een deur. De in gele steen opgetrokken voorgevel van de stal heeft aan weerszijden van de jaartalsteen (1884) twee stalramen met facetroedeverdeling waarboven zich het hooiluik, met halfrond tweeruits bovenlicht, bevindt. Hierboven een rood stenen strek. De zijkant aan de binnenstraat heeft een achtpas raam en een modern kozijn. De achterkant heeft een lage, aangekapte aanbouw met daarin een deur en drie tweruits ramen. De andere lange zijde heeft twee inrijdeuren, waarvan één met een getoogde loopdeur, een stalraam met facetroedeverdeling, een deur met tweeruits bovenlicht, een drieruits raam en boven de muuropeningen rode rollagen.
In het interieur is ondermeer van belang het woonhuis met diverse laat-19de-eeuwse en oudere elementen bewaard gebleven. De oude plavuizen van de dubbele kelder, paneeldeuren (waarvan één rond XVIIIa) en kasten, in de mooie kamer alsmede witjes, Delfts blauwe tegels en paarse tegeltableau's voorstellende een stier en een paard (XVIIIe). De schouw in de eetkamer met consoles. In de opkamer een bedstedewand met negentiende-eeuwse indeling. In het bedrijfsgedeelte bevindt zich nog het waterreservoir met goot naar de stallen. In de driebeukige stallen met standvinken nog de oorspronkelijke tussenmuur tussen koeien- en varkensstal. De indeling van de aangebouwde stal is nog intact.

De boerderij is van algemeen belang vanwege cultuurhistorische waarde wegens de plaats in de agrarische ontwikkelingsgeschiedenis van Zuid-Holland.

FARMHOUSE in Artisanal Traditional style, originally from around 1800, situated on the dike of the Rotte. Attached to the farmhouse on the north-eastern side is a barn dating from 1884. The farm's business section also dates from that period. On the other side is a blocky extension of more recent date. At the rear runs a drainage ditch. Five lime trees stand in the yard. The landscape setting on the Rotte is seriously threatened by the Rotterdam flat-building development opposite. The farmhouse forms part of a complex which also includes the entrance gate.

Description
Farmhouse of the hall-house type, constructed on a rectangular plan in yellow Ijssel stone in stretcher bond, under a hipped gabled roof with reed thatch. A rendered plinth runs around the entire building. The attached barn, also constructed on a rectangular plan, has a gabled roof covered with corrugated sheeting.
The front of the farmhouse facing the Rotte, partly cellared, has on the left two sash windows and on the right two four-pane windows, furthermore three cellar windows with security bars and in the top two tilt windows under one-and-a-half brick courses; wickerwork in the top. The southern gable is rendered with false joints and has, to the left of the recent extension, two sash windows with two-pane fanlights and a sash window with three-pane fanlight, with blinds. Furthermore one loose two-pane and one loose three-pane window.
In the late 19th century business section (rear building) four barn windows with faceted glazing bars, two clamped doors and ornamental wall anchors. At the lower level is a gutter of bricks.

The front gable of the barn, constructed in yellow stone, has on either side of the date stone (1884) two barn windows with faceted glazing bars above which is the hay door, with semicircular two-pane fanlight. Above this a red brick course. The side facing the yard has an octagonal window and a modern frame. The rear has a low, abutted extension containing a door and three two-pane windows. The other long side has two entrances, one with an arched pedestrian door, a barn window with faceted glazing bars, a door with two-pane fanlight, a three-pane window and above the wall openings red roller blinds.
In the interior, notably preserved are elements of the dwelling house including various late 19th century and older features. The old floor tiles of the double cellar, panelled doors (one dating from around the first half of the 18th century) and cabinets, in the fine room as well as glazed tiles, Delft blue tiles and purple tile tableaux depicting a bull and a horse (18th century). The chimney in the dining room with consoles. In the bedroom a bed-wall with 19th century division. In the business section the water reservoir with gutter leading to the barns is still present. In the three-aisled barns with stanchion posts the original partition wall between the cattle and pig barn is still evident. The layout of the attached barn remains intact.
