Het TOLHUIS heeft een rechthoekige plattegrond en telt één bouwlaag onder een schilddak dat met gesmoorde oudhollandse pannen gedekt is en waarop twee zinken pironnen staan. Het pand is opgetrokken in donkerrode baksteen in kruisverband met een kalkspecievoeg. Er is sprake van een geschilderde plint en een boeideel onder de goot die op klossen rust. De oostgevel wordt voor meer dan de helft ingenomen door een tussenlid (XXc) naar de paarden- en wagenstal.
In het midden van de voorgevel (W) bevindt zich de oorspronkelijke entree die bestaat uit een paneeldeur met gietijzeren rooster onder eenvoudig bovenlicht. Recht boven de ingangspartij staat op het boeideel geschilderd "Stadter tolhuijs". In het dakschild bevindt zich een dakkapel met vleugelstukken en een vierruits schuifvenster.
Aan weerszijden van de deur een zesruits schuifvenster met luiken en boven de vensters een strekkenlaag. In het midden van beide zijgevels (N en Z) bevindt zich een identiek venster, en ook aan de oostgevel, echter daar is de plaatsing van het venster geheel links in de gevel. De kapconstructie bevat vier Philibertspanten.
Waardering
Het tolhuis, deel uitmakend van het complex "Stadter-Tolhuijs", is van algemeen belang vanwege de architectuur- en cultuurhistorische waarde als voorbeeld van een 19de-eeuws dubbel tolhuis in streekeigen bouwtrant. Het tolhuis heeft situationele en landschappelijke waarde vanwege de specifieke samenhang tussen functie en de ligging van het pand op een splitsing van wegen.

Description
The TOLL HOUSE has a rectangular ground plan and comprises one storey under a hipped roof covered with dampened old-Dutch tiles and on which two zinc finials stand. The building is constructed in dark red brick in cross bond with a lime mortar joint. There is a painted plinth and a fascia board below the eaves which rests on corbels. The east gavel is occupied for more than half its width by an intermediate section (XXc) to the horse and wagon stable.
In the centre of the front facade (W) is the original entrance consisting of a panel door with a cast-iron grille under a simple fanlight. Directly above the entrance section "Stadter tolhuijs" is painted on the fascia board. In the roof section there is a roof dormer with wing pieces and a four-pane sash window.
On either side of the door a six-pane sash window with shutters and above the windows a relieving arch. In the centre of both side gables (N and S) is an identical window, and also on the east gable, but there the placement of the window is entirely to the left in the gable. The roof truss structure contains four Philibert trusses.
Valuation
The toll house, forming part of the complex "Stadter-Tolhuijs", is of general importance because of its architectural and cultural-historical value as an example of a 19th-century double toll house in regional building style.
