Omschrijving
De (dwars)HELLING bestaat uit een hellend vlak, deels onder deels boven water, waarop ijzeren rails liggen. Over de rails worden vier lorries door vier lieren uit het water getrokken. De lorries zijn middels staalkabels verbonden met de lieren. Elke lier bestaat uit een ijzeren tandwielkast. De vier tandwielkasten worden met elkaar verbonden door een as, die wordt aangedreven door een electromotor.

The (transverse) SLIPWAY consists of an inclined plane, partly below and partly above water, on which iron rails lie. Four lorries are pulled from the water over the rails by four winches.
